How wonderful is it that nobody need wait a single moment before starting to improve the world.

Is “Feminists for Life” an Oxymoron?

"Feminists for Life" is taking back from the modern anti-life, anti-woman feminist movement the feminism of Susan B. Anthony and others, whose feminism was compatible with authentic Biblical feminism. Following is a reflection on this organization by Laura Callender, President of Oglethorpe University Students for Life. Please see related article about the FFL speaker they are hosting on March 26th, which promises to be a very fruitful event! Your prayers, financial support and presence are needed at this great event!

New Stanek WND column, “Pro-life Democrats see success”

WND%20logo.gif

There was an interesting little story in the Washington Post Feb. 28, with this lead:

The Virginia Senate voted Wednesday to cut off state funding to Planned Parenthood of Virginia because it offers abortions....

These sorts of measures go through fits and starts in various states and often fizzle. This particular bill likely won't make it past Virginia's pro-abort governor, Timothy Kaine.

But what made this vote stand out was this key point, again quoting the Post:

The decision [was] a major setback for the Senate's new Democratic
majority
....

Democrats could not break one lone pro-life member, Charles Colgan, from voting with the Republican minority....

One pro-life Democrat made the difference.

When Democrats wrested control of both houses of Congress on the national level in 2006, the pro-life situation there looked dire.

It was anticipated Democrats would try to knock off all long-standing pro-life riders on appropriations bills and pass anti-life legislation to boot.

But none of that happened....

Here's the inside scoop on what's happening with Democrats on the national level, from well-placed pro-life spies....

The Definitions Game in the Fight for Life

I've been trying to figure out how it is that the entire medical industry and pharmaceutical industry can get away with lying about chemical birth control. I finally figured it out. The definition of pregnancy has been changed by the American Medical Association. Until a couple years ago, pregnancy was defined as when the sperm enters the ovum, at that moment a woman is pregnant. But today, pregnancy is defined as when the embryo attaches to the uterine wall.

Help for Moms in Crisis Pregnancy - Thinking Outside the Box

A major component of Pro Life Unity is bringing together members of our communities who desire to help Moms in crisis pregnancy, thus creating a large network of support for these Moms. If we think outside the box, we can begin to see endless opportunities for people of all walks of life and professions to join in this critical effort. I was very excited to hear recently about one such lady who passionately desires to use her gifts and profession to help Moms in crisis pregnancy. I asked her to share her story in her own words:

New Stanek WND column, “4th annual Abortionist of the Year award”

WND%20logo.gif

The National Day of Appreciation for Abortion Providers is just around the corner - March 10 - but it appears I'm the only one celebrating this year.

Not one national abortion website is showcasing this exciting holiday. Popularity may be dwindling because it is so difficult to show appreciation to abortionists. Heroin and child porn are two of those hard to find gifts.

Despite the abortion industry's diss, I will do my part to honor these special shop choppers with my 4th annual Abortionist of the Year award.

This year's gang is exceptional. I am reminded of the 1967 Academy Awards, when The Graduate, Guess Who's Coming to Dinner?, Cool Hand Luke, Dr. Dolittle, In Cold Blood, In the Heat of the Night, Camelot and Bonnie & Clyde all competed for Oscars. How do you choose?

Of course, abortionists would pick In Cold Blood, but I digress. Here are the nominees, in alpha order to be fair...

New Stanek WND column, “The slaughterhouse rules”

WND%20logo.gif

Well, I just watched an undercover video filmed by the Humane Society at a California beef plant where cows were supposedly tortured and killed, and I must say I'm disgusted.

Prime-time news shows aired clips of this video last week with no warning of its graphic nature. I'm glad my 7-year-old grandson wasn't around, or I might have had to explain where hamburger comes from.

What's wrong with these Humane Society people? Don't they have better things to do with their time? Perhaps they could alleviate this problem, if there really is a problem, by pasturing their own cow herds if they really cared.

Anyway, I'm quite sure this video is a fake.

And even if not, I don't believe cows feel pain when being plowed by forklifts. No one can prove to me that they do. Flinching when prodded with pokers is a visceral response. Struggling when dragged by cow hooks is a primal reaction, certainly not related to pain. Cows can't talk; therefore cows can't feel pain. That's just a fact....

New Stanek WND column, “Divine secrets of the political yo-yo sisterhood”

WND%20logo.gif

It's interesting to watch pro-aborts fight. They confine themselves to a war of words when picking on someone their own size. No dismembering, no decapitating, how refreshing.

Right now they're engaged in a rarely seen public snarl over which Democrat presidential candidate to support. This will likely stop after they pick a nominee, so the pack can resume attacking the Republican.

Meanwhile, the rift is revealing....

The grumpy old feminists, who for half a century have been decrying sexism, are herding around Hillary because she's a woman, the epitome of chauvinism.

There are reports lesbians are also flocking to Hillary, but I've thought for some time grumpy old feminists and lesbians were one and the same. The president and vice president of NOW in my state are live-in lesbian lovers, for instance. So that may not be news.

On Obama's side we have....
