Psalm 148:7-8 (Pt. 2) - Natural Obedience
Thought/Prayer: Topics: 2 at end.
“Praise the Lord from the earth, you creatures of the ocean depths, fire and hail, snow and clouds, wind and weather that obey him;†. . . NLT http://www.bible.com (Read this scripture and more at http://prayerpivot.com)
Have we noticed the word “obey†here? All of these natural phenomena are said to obey the Lord. We know that Jesus stilled the sea, and the disciples were in wonder at His power. What about us? Aren’t we rather small in comparison to all of this?
We, even more than nature, must obey Him. We cannot forget that God made humankind at the top of the hierarchy of creation, the only creation made in his own image (Gen. 1:27). And whereas nature obeys Him, He made us to not only obey, but to seek Him (Acts 17:27). We are the only creation who may choose whether to obey or not. A tree cannot decide whether its branches bend in the wind or not. A cat cannot choose between barking or meowing!
Our having a choice makes it even more wonderful when we do obey. Lord, we ask that each of us who are concerned for the future of the unborn, the elderly, the infirm, the mentally challenged, will make a priority of obeying You. Lord, help us recognize Your voice as you speak to each of us in varying manner – and then help us obey. May it be as natural as in nature.

Protest Planned Parenthood This Friday and Saturday!
Take a stand against the nation's largest abortion provider, Planned Parenthood, an organization that receives over 500 million taxpayer dollars every year.
"On Friday, April 28 and Saturday, April 29, a host of different pro-life events will be held at Planned Parenthood facilities throughout the United States as part of the second annual National Day of Prayer and Protest Against Planned Parenthood.
These events will include rallies, marches, pickets and prayer vigils—all calling on Congress and President Trump to strip Planned Parenthood of all federal funding and reallocate those funds to health centers that help disadvantaged women without destroying human life through abortion."

They Kill Babies!
From Church Militant:
"What else can you expect, seriously, from the champions of child slaughter?
As the Democratic Party leadership is exposed for the evil in which it so comfortable traffics, the U.S. Catholic bishops need to divorce themselves from the Democrats. Now this will be a tearful breakup owing to the longtime marriage, but enough is enough.
From the WikiLeaks exposures that top Dems have been involved in a sustained plot to foment rebellion in the Catholic Church under cover of social justice."

Is Donald Trump pro-life?
Before I answer that question, I would like to make some personal observations about this election.
- I've never seen so many so-called "Christians" filled with hatred as I have in the last few weeks. Many "believers" have even been putting up cartoons, wishing for the death of Donald Trump.
Not funny.
- Mitt Romney has come out swinging against Trump, viciously attacking him and calling him names. He’s acting like a schoolboy. Mitt Romney and other so-called conservatives have the gall to say Donald Trump is not a conservative. Remember, Romney was the first governor in the United States of America to pass a government healthcare program. Not exactly “conservative.”
- Republicans have controlled Congress for a year and a half, and during that time, there have probably been less vetoes by an opposing president then in the history of this country. Congressional Republicans have fought harder in one month against Donald Trump then they have for 18 months against Barack Obama.
- There is more energy in this election for a Republican and against the Democrats than ever before. Okay, maybe Reagan’s election comes close. The majority of that energy is because of Donald Trump. Last week, 20,000 Democrats switched to the Republican Party so they could vote for Donald Trump.
Finally, is Donald Trump pro life? One more time, before I answer that question, I have to ask, is the Republican Party “pro-life?”
Let’s look at an article by Slate Magazine, a pro abortion website. The title of the article is “Why the GOP Isn’t as Pro-Life as You Think.” This is exactly the kind of title I would expect from a pro-abortion website, so let’s look at some of their facts.
“Reince Priebus gave a speech with a conspicuous omission. Just 33 days before the midterm elections, the Republican National Committee Chairman headed to George Washington University to give a speech on the issues that bring Republicans together.”
Priebus continues:
“As Republicans we’re pro-family; and we’re also pro-life,†he said, according to the transcript of his prepared remarks. “So when a woman faces an unplanned pregnancy, society should offer our support and compassion. She should know that adoption is possible. Our laws should be improved to make adoption an easier path for families who want to open their homes to children.â€
Wait, what?
“Our laws should be improved to make adoption an easier path for families who want to open their homes to children?â€
Shouldn’t our laws be improved to make abortion illegal? In the last 18 months, how many bills has Congress submitted to end all abortions in the United States of America? I believe the answer to that is zip, zero, goose egg… nada.
Salon said:
“And that was it. The GOP is pro-life, the chairman said, so the GOP supports making adoption easier. Priebus didn’t add anything beyond that. He couldn’t have, given the reference to the party’s New England gubernatorial candidates, almost all of whom are pro-choice.”
Over the last week, even John McCain has come out challenging Donald Trump’s conservative credentials. Salon commented on McCain’s pro-life cred as well.
“It is almost as if Republicans are taking the advice that Sen. John McCain dished out shortly after the party got spanked in the 2012 elections. The Arizona Republican went on Fox News Sunday and said that the party should ‘leave the issue alone’ because it hurts them with young voters and women. His basic point was that Republicans should talk about how they’re pro-life, but avoid actually doing anything about it.”
Yeah, that’s courage for you. Let’s “leave the issue alone.”
So, what exactly have Republican successes been in the last 18 months? They include the trade bill and passing Obama’s budget. Oh, I’m sorry those are Democrat successes, which were supported and passed by Republicans!
Sarcasm intended.
The pro-life movement hasn’t wanted to face facts. We are the date that Republicans want to have sex with, but they’re embarrassed to introduce us to their parents. Every pro-lifer who talks about abortion more than once a day knows what I’m talking about. We all have seen people in the church who avoid looking or talking to us when there are other people around.
Why do you think people who evangelize in other countries get direct support of the church as missionaries, yet pro-life people are regarded as a side topic? Typically, other missionaries are financially supported in the church, as parishioners are excited about their efforts, even allowing them to speak whenever they’re in town. Yet the church doesn’t want pro-life people to speak about the life issues, either because they’re afraid, or the issues are too complicated for the church leadership. Well, there is one more reason, many people believe those who have dedicated their lives serving God and the pre-born are slightly unhinged, or just nuts. Of course another reason is that the church is afraid of losing pro-abortion donors who attend the church.
The pro-life community has been blindly electing federal Republicans for many years, getting nothing in return. The partial birth abortion ban hasn’t saved any babies, and with the born alive infants protection act, abortionists either try to make sure the babies are dead, or they cover up their deaths, if they’re lucky enough to survive the abortion .
On the state level, it’s a completely different story. There are many brave pro-life Republicans out there, like Governor Huckabee, Governor Scott Walker, Rick Santorum, Congressman Trent Franks and so on. There are also countless pro-life state representatives, who work together with the governors to end abortion. Because of state-level efforts, and the efforts of pro-life individuals at the abortion mills, over a thousand abortion facilities have been closed!
And yes, there currently are pro-life Congressional Republicans, but what are they doing to END ABORTION? In my opinion, not very much, possibly because the majority of the Republicans in Congress aren’t interested in ending abortion.
Remember the 20 week abortion ban Republicans were going to pass 14 months ago?
Some Hill Democrats praised the decision to scuttle the bill. Rep. Loretta Sanchez, a California Democrat, said she thinks the move is a sign the party is changing.
“I believe that they’re coming to a realization that America is a pro-choice country, that the majority of Americans realize that Roe v. Wade should stand,†she said. “So I think they’re having a conflict within their own Republican conference.â€
‘There are two parties within the GOP,’ she added.”
Courage lost
Many people don’t know this, but civil rights abuses continued in the United States of America all the way up until 1964.That was during my lifetime. Black Americans, Jews and others were being treated like dirt, and there were no laws on the books to protect them. Federal, Congressional Republicans changed that. They passed the 1964 Civil Rights Act, and they put it on the desk of John F. Kennedy, who signed it into law.
Where is the courage in the Republican Party to end abortion today?
Ending Abortion
I believe if every federal, congressional Republican stood on the steps of the capital building and refused to do business until the pre-born were given the right to life that they deserve, abortion would end overnight.
Where does Donald Trump stand on abortion and other “conservative” issues?
My opinion? He’s all over the map. He has a house full of flip-flops. And when he talks about Planned Parenthood, the pro-life community explodes with anger. Trump says that Planned Parenthood has provided good services for millions of women in America. But he also says, if they continue doing abortions, he would defund them.
Let’s break that down.
Has Planned Parenthood provided good services for millions of women in America? Pro-life people may not think so, but I would bet 90% of millennial’s today believe they do. Planned Parenthood provides many other services besides abortion. From the Planned Parenthood website:
“Planned Parenthood provides sexual and reproductive health care, education, information, and outreach to more than five million women, men, and adolescents worldwide each year.
2.7 million women and men in the United States annually visit Planned Parenthood affiliate health centers for trusted health care services and information.
Eighty-four percent of Planned Parenthood health care clients in the U.S. are age 20 and older.
One in five women in the U.S. has visited a Planned Parenthood health center at least once in her life.
Our Work
Planned Parenthood health centers focus on prevention: 80 percent of our clients receive services to prevent unintended pregnancy.
Planned Parenthood services help prevent approximately 516,000 unintended pregnancies each year.
Planned Parenthood provides nearly 400,000 Pap tests and nearly 500,000 breast exams each year, critical services in detecting cancer.
Planned Parenthood provides nearly 4.5 million tests and treatments for sexually transmitted infections, including 700,000 HIV tests.
Three percent of all Planned Parenthood health services are abortion services.”
We may disagree with many, if not most, if not almost all of what Planned Parenthood does, but that’s not the issue. The issue is, tens of millions of people see Planned Parenthood as a positive organization, and go to them for solutions on a regular basis.
In my opinion, Donald Trump is on one hand avoiding alienating those men and women, yet on the other hand, he is saying if they don’t quit doing abortions, he would turn against Planned Parenthood. It’s a smart political move since most people believe abortion on demand is wrong.
Yes, we are against their sex education, we’re against their distribution of condoms and birth control, but wouldn’t it be smart to fight the direct killing of the pre-born first?
I can’t stress enough, I probably disagree with everything Planned Parenthood does.
This is just one example:
What about illegal aliens?
Until Donald Trump came along, not only was there no real effort to deal with this topic, Marco Rubio and other so-called “conservative” Republicans were actually negotiating to give tens of millions of illegals a path to citizenship.
50 years ago, Democrats kicked down the doors and they opened the floodgates on illegal immigration, and Republicans allowed them to do it, because they wanted the cheap labor. Even though laws have been passed which required business owners to check the status of citizenship of their workers, they weren’t really agreed upon until recently. Too little too late.
Most Americans know the impact illegal immigration has on this country. We see it in our hourly wages and we see it in the lack of professional jobs available to working Americans. We see it with Disney, who fired 1500 Americans, after forcing them to train their foreign replacements. We see it with the countless thousands of murders rapes, thefts, and violent crimes committed by illegals across this country, every single year.
Again, this issue was not taken serious by Republicans until Donald Trump came along. You say I’m wrong? Name one thing Republicans are doing right now to kick out the tens of millions of illegals who are here now. Tell me about the wall Republicans are building to keep out the millions of illegals who are still flowing into America to this day.
You can’t.
So, is Donald Trump pro-life? He says he is. He often talks about the personal experience he had the change his mind on this issue.
Trump ending abortion? Obviously he would need the support of Congress to make something like that happen, but he hasn’t said anything specific about how he would end abortion if he were elected president. Remember though, neither have any of the other candidates. They claim they are pro-life, but they have made no statement about how they would work to end abortion in the United States of America.
And what about jobs and money?
Neither party has been fiscally conservative. Democrats rack up massive debt for the good of America and Republicans rack up massive debt… for the good of America.
The policies of both parties have run this country into the ground. Americans are unemployed, struggling for money and struggling to buy houses and cars. Because of the policies of both parties, America has become the land of burgers and papers.
That’s not all there is to this equation though. I believe America is sick and tired of politicians in general. Election after election we hear the same promises from both sides, and yet I don’t think candidates from either party really serve the people of America.
I have been a registered Independent ever since I came to this great country 46 years ago. Even so, I have always voted Republican. I believe the Republican Party represents the issues and ideals that I believe in. I also believe if, on the federal side, the Republican Party returns to its roots, real conservative values, they can be a great party once again.
I think Republicans are not seeing the forest for the trees right now. Most independents will support Trump and countless Democrats are switching to the Republican party. Instead of looking at it as one of the most powerful shifts in political ideology in American history, establishment Republicans are angry, not just at Trump, but also at Ted Cruz. To add insult to injury, Ted Cruz supporters are joining with the establishment Republicans, remember, the ones who despise them, to attack Trump as well. Odd bedfellows indeed!
Reminds me of the Muslim saying, “The enemy of my enemy is my friend.” What conservative/tea party Republicans don’t understand is, even if they succeed in their cooperative efforts in bringing down Donald Trump, the establishment Republicans will never accept them at the table.
Establishment Republicans are 100% willing to let Hillary Clinton become president, rather than the man they despise with extreme passion, Donald Trump. We saw it in Virginia. Ken Cuccinelli would have been elected governor of this state if it weren’t for his pro-life stance. The Republican Party turned on him and made sure Democrat Terry McAuliffe won that election. That wasn’t the first time something like this happened. In other elections across America, wherever tea party and conservative people ran against establishment Republicans, the establishment Republicans made sure Democrats won instead.
I realize I’m not making friends with this article. Life isn’t about making friends, it’s about telling the truth. In Luke 12, Jesus said:
49“I have come to bring fire on the earth, and how I wish it were already kindled! 50But I have a baptism to undergo, and what constraint I am under until it is completed! 51Do you think I came to bring peace on earth? No, I tell you, but division.52From now on there will be five in one family divided against each other, three against two and two against three. 53They will be divided, father against son and son against father, mother against daughter and daughter against mother, mother-in-law against daughter-in-law and daughter-in-law against mother-in-law.â€
Jesus is the way and the light. He is our salvation. Not a political party, and no, not Donald Trump.
In my opinion, Ted Cruz is the best man to be president of the United States, but that is not likely to happen. The writing is on the wall, and most likely, Donald Trump will be elected president, unless the establishment Republicans bring him down, like they have done to so many others whom they didn’t like.
Who would benefit from this? It’s possible so many middle Americans would be disgusted by watching how sausage is made, Republicans might never get elected again. Pro-abortion Hillary and the Democrats might be given control of the presidency and the Supreme Court forever.
Pro-life friends, it’s okay to disagree but let’s please work together in our common cause. Let’s not hate each other and let’s not create an environment of hate which will turn off the many people who are looking at the Republican brand for the first time.
Even if you support Marco Rubio, Ted Cruz, Donald Trump, Ben Carson, John Kasich or any other pro-life representative, you are still my brothers and sisters in our common cause. I pray we join forces to defend the pre-born from abortion.

Video - What about abortion when a woman is raped?
Peter Shinn, President of Pro-Life Unity & Director of Cherish Life Ministries talks to Mary Rathke, who was conceived in rape. This is one of the biggest challenges pro-abortion people throw at the pro-life community when they express their need to keep abortion decriminalized.
