Who Are We?
We are many different people from all over the world, such as students, columnists, artists, leaders, post abortive and PRO-LIFE! We are all determined to defend the defenseless with our voices and action.
Teen Defenders and Pro-Life Unity welcome Mary Patterson!
Mary Patterson is the President and Founder of the non-profit youth organization Arizona Teens for Life. She's also involved in Pure Fashion, an organization that promotes the dignity and modesty of women, volunteers for various causes, and works as a receptionist at a local crisis pregnancy center.
Mary is the oldest of six children in a Catholic family, and is a homeschooled junior in high school. She currently holds the position of Prolife Activities Director for the teens in her homeschool group. Mary is planning on getting her CNA degree this summer, and would like to become a nurse and a motivational speaker for the prolife cause, in addition to becoming a wife and mother.

Pro-Life Unity and Teen Defenders Welcome Lia!
Lia Mills is an 8th grade student from Toronto, Ontario. As part of a school assignment for the 7th-grade and for entry into a related speech competition, she chose to write a speech on the topic of abortion. Although she was strongly encouraged not to pursue this topic and though she was threatened with disqualification on a number of occasions, she pressed on and continued with the topic of abortion. Despite the obstacles, she made it through to the end of the competition. In addition, the YouTube video of her speech went viral and the original posting has been viewed by over 850,000 people from around the world. Her video has been reposted many times and translated into several languages. Lia is a proud recipient of the Susan B. Anthony Young Leaders Award and the Toronto Right to Life Media Award. She does itinerant speaking on the topic of abortion and had the honour of speaking before a crowd of 12,000 people on Parliament Hill in Ottawa, Ontario. Lia is a competitive dancer who also loves to read, sew and do scrap-booking.
Lia joins Teen Defenders as the spokesperson to help reach the youth, those most likely to be influenced by negative life messages from the school systems and from the media.
