New Stanek WND column, “Obama’s biggest lie about supporting infanticide”

On June 25, CNN's Wolf Blitzer asked conservative commentator Bill Bennett what question he would ask Democrat presidential candidate Barack Obama if he could.

Bennett said he would ask Obama:

Why are you to the left of NARAL, Barbara Boxer and Dianne Feinstein when it comes to abortion? Are you really there?.... I got to question the guy's moral judgment who doesn't see a problem with killing a baby after it's been born.... What is the answer to that question?

Bennett was speaking about Obama's opposition to Illinois' Born Alive Infants Protection Act as state senator....

(To which Obama defender Donna Brazile responded, "Bill, you want to have a conversation about narrow issues... but the American people want to talk about gas prices....")

Over the years, Obama or his surrogates have mischaracterized Illinois' Born Alive Act and his reasons for opposing it at least 10 different ways.

But Obama's most flagrant lie, perpetuated by both NARAL and the Obama campaign after CNN ran a fair analysis on June 30 of Obama's opposition to Born Alive, is as NARAL wrote in a rebuttal....

Pro-Life Unity Joins Pro-Life Opposition to NEA Abortion Leaders

Peter Shinn speaking at a Pro-Life Unity conference in Wichita, Kansas

Peter Shinn, President of Pro-Life Unity, will be joining PLEAS, Pro-Life Educators and Students, and Pro-Life leaders in Washington DC at the Convention Center on Wednesday, July 2nd in a united protest against the pro-abortion agenda of the leaders of the National Education Association. The NEA will be holding their annual convention in Washington DC at the convention center, where a protest and press conference will be held from 10:00 am - 2:00 pm.

The Family Research Council -, will be holding a press conference at their location at 9:30 am, to be followed by a press conference in front of the Convention Center at 10:30 am. Pro-Life leaders, including, Chuck Donovan, the Executive Vice President of the FRC will speak out against the pro-abortion views of the leadership of the NEA. Some of the participants will include:

Bob Pawson – ProLife Educators And Students (NEA member)
Jim Sedlak - American Life League
Jack Ames - Defend Life
Rev. Clenard H. Childress –
Missy Smith – Women Against Killing and Exploitation of Unprotected Persons
Peter Shinn –

The NEA is expected to endorse Barack Obama, a pro-abortion presidential candidate. This public endorsement constitutes a violation of the trust of Pro-Life NEA members who pay dues to them.

Shinn says:

The NEA website considers opposition to their abortion views a deception, yet they deceive people on their website. On the NEA website they state:

"Deception 6 NEA supports abortion.
Truth NEA supports reproductive freedom without government intervention. "

Reproductive freedom obviously means abortion. And they have the audacity to call us deceptive."

People across America are encouraged to unite against the pro-abortion leadership of the National Education Association by going to the PLEAS website at, where you can find out where you can either join others who are going to protest, or how to start your own protest at a NEA location near you. If you are in the Washington D.C. area, you can go to the convention center. The press conference will be at 10:30 am followed by peaceful picketing until 2:00 pm

New Stanek WND column, “What the media is ignoring about the teen pregnancy pact”

Time magazine revealed last week at least eight students at Gloucester High School in MA have entered into a "pact," according to Principal Joseph Sullivan, to get pregnant and raise their babies together....

Sullivan has now gone mum, certainly after school and city lawyers told him to shut up....

It's no wonder Gloucester Mayor Carolyn Kirk disallowed Sullivan from speaking at her June 23 press conference, telling the world he had gone "foggy in his memory," and there was "no evidence" of a pregnancy pact....

Kirk tried to shift blame for the pregnancies to state and federal government funding reductions "resulting in cuts to programs and services... including support for health education."

Not so fast. Last spring, MA Gov. Deval Patrick rejected $700,000 in free money for abstinence teaching from the federal government. Meanwhile, Patrick approved a budget increase of $800,000 for comprehensive sex ed funding, bringing the total to
$3.8 million annually....

Had this been a school system that taught abstinence, you'd best believe sex ed would be central to the story.

Had Patrick rejected comprehensive sex ed funding and increased abstinence funding, the New York Times would be pointing it out, not me....
