§ What is Pro-Life Unity?

To achieve Pro-Life Unity we will establish standards that we all agree upon, and efforts that we all regularly participate in. By working together we can challenge the culture of death and the apathy which is pervasive in our society.

1 Peter 5:10-11 (Pt. 2)  Thought/Prayer:  Grounded!  Topics:  2 at end.

“But the God of all grace who has called you to his eternal glory in Christ Jesus, when ye have suffered for a little while, himself shall make perfect, stablish, strengthen, ground:  to him [be] the glory and the might for the ages of the ages. Amen.”  DARBY http://www.bible.com  (Read this scripture and more at http://prayerpivot.com)

God does so many things for us.  Here, after he has told us He will make perfect, establish and strengthen, he says he will ground us.  We have seen that other translations say “settle” us.  I like this wording too.

Who doesn’t need grounding?  Who doesn’t need to have brought to attention everything we need to know in order to be fully grounded, fully aware and functional in life?  We say a person is “well grounded” in knowledge or someone is well grounded in scripture.  (Of course, scriptural grounding brings growth up and out from that good basis.)

God wants us to have ourselves firmly grounded in Him.  Here we are told that He plays a part in that.  He can help us walk securely because our feet walk solid terra firma in Him, and we are not bounding about in many directions.  We’re grounded.  Lord, help us to realize that we can be this way in You.  Help us to know that you help us be grounded and not following our whims and fancies like clouds without tethers.  And thank you for helping us in this.

Topics:  Pray to let God ground us through our faithfulness in prayer and knowledge of scripture.
