“I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men;
For kings, and for all that are in authority; that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty.”
There are kings in our world, there are presidents, there are premiers, and other types of rulers with titles. We are to pray for them. Not only are we to pray, but different types of prayers are mentioned in this passage. Perhaps we do not know the difference between supplications and prayers – but does it matter? We pray as we are individually let in our hearts. Intercessions we know are prayers for others – and Christ is our great Intercessor at the right hand of God.
Let us let Him intercede, through the prayers we pray. Let us pray for all world leaders, that their hearts will turn to not only the Light (Jesus), but LIFE also. Pray for God to convict mightily today.
