§ What is Pro-Life Unity?

To achieve Pro-Life Unity we will establish standards that we all agree upon, and efforts that we all regularly participate in. By working together we can challenge the culture of death and the apathy which is pervasive in our society.

2 Chronicles 34:1-3 (Pt. 2)  Thought/Prayer:  No Decline, Right or Left.  Topics:  2 at end

Josiah’s Good Reign in Judah

Josiah was eight years old when he began to reign, and he reigned in Jerusalem one and thirty years. And he did that which was right in the sight of the LORD, and walked in the ways of David his father, and declined neither to the right hand, nor to the left.

Josiah Destroys Idolatry
For in the eighth year of his reign, while he was yet young, he began to seek after the God of David his father: and in the twelfth year he began to purge Judah and Jerusalem from the high places, and the groves, and the carved images, and the molten images.”  (AKJV)  Read this scripture and more at http://prayerpivot.com

The words, about Josiah, that he didn’t decline to the right or to the left can be translated that he didn’t turn aside one way or the other.  He walked straight.  He did not wishy-wash all over the path.  His beliefs were straight before him; he did not step off of the path to carrying them out.  Maybe most of us can both identify with him and then, not so much.

We Christians probably all attempt to walk the straight path in our spiritual lives and in the world where we live, however this phrase applies to our specific situation.  My calling from the Lord may be entirely different from yours; but if you and I are both attempting to not veer off of the path He plans for us, then we are on the right path.  But sometimes it is difficult to not slowly edge off of the road.

It’s our heart attitude that counts.  And it’s God’s heart of forgiveness that means so much at times when we stray from His true desires for us.  Even in pro-LIFE work, we may go in directions that are not part of His plan for us; but when we ask forgiveness and desire to turn from our inattentive ways, we have it; and we go on renewed.

Lord, give us the vision You would have for us regarding our paths.  Help us to have the heart to walk straight ahead and not decline to the left or the right in serving those in great battles of life/death.  And thank You for the forgiveness we receive when we ask.
