§ What is Pro-Life Unity?

To achieve Pro-Life Unity we will establish standards that we all agree upon, and efforts that we all regularly participate in. By working together we can challenge the culture of death and the apathy which is pervasive in our society.

2 Corinthians 6:3-10   Thought/Prayer:  Conviction to Prayer is Paramount.  Topics:  2 at end.

“We put no obstacle in anyone’s way, so that no fault may be found with our ministry, but as servants of God we commend ourselves in every way: by great endurance, in afflictions, hardships, calamities, beatings, imprisonments, riots, labors, sleepless nights, hunger;  by purity, knowledge, patience, kindness, the Holy Spirit, genuine love; by truthful speech, and the power of God; with the weapons of righteousness for the right hand and for the left; through honor and dishonor, through slander and praise. We are treated as impostors, and yet are true; as unknown, and yet well known; as dying, and behold, we live; as punished, and yet not killed;  as sorrowful, yet always rejoicing; as poor, yet making many rich; as having nothing, yet possessing everything.  English Standard Version (ESV)  Scripture quotations are from the Holy Bible, English Standard Version, copyright © 2001 by Crossway Bibles, a division of Good News Publishers. This scripture says so much about how the Christian life can be.  From afflictions and calamities to purity and kindness, the writer Paul describes life in the trenches of service.  There will be affliction for some, beatings for others, hunger for many.  But there also will be patience, knowledge and genuine love.  Christian lives cover an entire spectrum of happenings, as we live out our lives of service to our Lord.

These events could also apply to those standing for LIFE around the world.  There have been martyrs who have lost their lives in the cause.  And we know that there are many sleepless nights for and imprisonments of those who take this stand.  The need to be convicted to pray for each other is paramount.  God’s Word, knowledge of His character, and the prayers of others mount a clear defense against the unwanted effects of the enemies of LIFE that we face.  These must be part of our duty.

Lord, we ask you to guide us as we pray for one another.  You are the only One Who sees the entire tapestry of our lives with the dark colors of suffering and the contrasts of glowing pastels of kindness.  So we look to You to know how to pray for one another.  Help us to know.
