§ What is Pro-Life Unity?

To achieve Pro-Life Unity we will establish standards that we all agree upon, and efforts that we all regularly participate in. By working together we can challenge the culture of death and the apathy which is pervasive in our society.

2 Peter 3:8,9   Thought/Prayer:  Patient.  Topics:  2 at end.

“But don’t forget this one thing, beloved, that one day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day. The Lord is not slow concerning his promise, as some count slowness; but is patient with us, not wishing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.” (WEB)  (Read this scripture and more at

Thank You, Lord, for Your patience.  It’s so good to be told, from Your Word, directly written, that you are “patient with us.”  Where would we be without this divine patience of yours?

Well, we would be in much less peace and knowledge of You, Lord.  We human beings were created to fellowship with you.  But we sin, and the fellowship becomes broken.  However, You gave us the antidote to our sin in the Lord Jesus Christ.  He counteracts our nature when we receive Him as Lord and Savior.  John 3:18:  “He that believes on him is not condemned: but he that believes not is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.”  Through Him we regain the broken fellowship.

And, Lord, we see that it is your patience that sees us through.  Thank You.  If we were to see ourselves through Your holy eyes (something we can only picture by the greatest of imagination), we would see ourselves as dust (Psalm 103:14).  We are just a mite of dust floating in the air or kicked up underfoot.  So for You to love us is miraculous; and it is Your patience that waits for us to come to You, either initially for our salvation, or in ongoing repentance for our breaking of the fellowship with You.  Thank You again.

But, Lord, help us to remember this, for others.  We may think those for whom we pray are very slow in responding to you; and we may feel that our prayers are going unanswered.  Help us to wait for You, Lord, as You wait for us . . . and for those “others” we hold up to you.  Patience involves time, of course.  But “He has made every thing beautiful in his time: . . . (AKJV).”  Ecclesiastes 3:11. Ecclesiastes 3:11.

Help us to be patient with those struggling with LIFE’s big issues.  Death.  Life.  Terminal things . . . as You are patient with us.

Topics:  Pray for patience and thank God for His patience with us.
