2 Thessalonians 3:5 (Pt. 2)  Thought/Prayer:  Patience of Christ.  Topics:  2 at end.

“May the Lord direct your hearts into the love of God, and into the patience of Christ.”  (WEB)  (Read this scripture and more at

Again, for those who are reading this and are struggling with God’s will concerning many issues, let us pray for you.  Let us pray for you that the Lord will direct your hearts into the “patience of Christ.”

“But why the patience of Christ?” you say.  “What has that to do with my problems and angst about many things?  What is the patience of Christ?”

We are not told, here, what it is, this patience of Christ.  But we can shape some ideas about it, asking God’s blessing on our thoughts.  Perhaps His patience is the one attribute of Christ that has reached each of us who believe:  He waited for us to come to Him.  He was patient as we walked our earthly walk until His ongoing drawing of us to Himself was complete, and He became Savior and Lord.

And, is He not patient with us as we sometimes struggle to let His life be lived through us, day to day?  Is He not patient until we become so convicted of our unworthiness that we come with bowed head before Him to ask for forgiveness and healing?

And is He not patient as He waits for us to realize His will for us in various areas of our lives? 2 Peter 3:9 tells us, “The Lord is not slow concerning his promise, as some count slowness; but is patient with us, not wishing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.”  (WEB)  For those of you reading this who do not know Jesus Christ as Savior, He is waiting for you and calling for you to come to him.  And when you do, all of His wonderful resources are available to you to use in your lives as He sees fit.  He can help you with your problems and relieve the angst of it all.

Lord, thank You that we have You, the Patient One, always waiting for us, wanting to help and guide us.  For those who do not know you and are struggling with LIFE issues, we pray that they will hear Your voice and come to You and receive salvation, blessing, and relief.

Topics:  Pray for those who do not know Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord, that they will hear His voice and respond with belief into His patient heart.
