§ What is Pro-Life Unity?

To achieve Pro-Life Unity we will establish standards that we all agree upon, and efforts that we all regularly participate in. By working together we can challenge the culture of death and the apathy which is pervasive in our society.

Acts 10:19 (Pt. 3)  Thought/Prayer:  Holy Spirit, Social Planner.  Topics:  2 at end.

“While Peter thought on the vision, the Spirit said unto him, Behold, three men seek thee.”  KJV http://www.bible.com (Read this scripture and more at http://prayerpivot.com)

The Holy Spirit announcing the schedule for the day:  What Christian wouldn’t want that!  Here Peter is in the midst of pondering a shocking appearance before his eyes – and then he’s told there is company downstairs.  The Holy Spirit regulating the social calendar?  Wow.

In our own lives, perhaps this could be compared to a prompting in our hearts to do some task, go see some friend, etc.  But this is WAY beyond that!  This is the Holy Spirit in Person.  This is God.

And so the perplexed Peter goes downstairs, meets the three men, and goes with them to fulfill God’s extended purpose from the vision – for the Gentiles (non-Jews) to be included in the salvation in Jesus Christ.  It would have been interesting to have heard the conversation as they walked along.  It must have been spirited, very lively.  Extremely lively one would think.

Today, we may hear the Spirit’s voice while we are while in our quiet time in the Bible, during prayer time, or as we choose to think on the scriptures.  Or we may have promptings during a busy day as we actively live our lives.

Why did you, the person reading this, choose to read this?  It may be that you have been a part of pro-life work for a long time; or perhaps you are just becoming drawn to it; or you may have stumbled onto this page seemingly by accident.  Probably none of you were directed through a vision to read this.  But is it not possible that God is directing your day through something penned here?  You may be hearing His voice in some way here, however subtle, or however overpowering.

The vision He gives you may be presented only in your heart.

But whatever it is, it is directing something in your life – if not today, then on another day, or another year or decade.  It may come to fruition through a social calendar – something you do with someone that will impact LIFE.

Lord, we want You to schedule events for us that work into Your plans for LIFE issues.  Peter’s vision did not speak to LIFE as in pro-life, anti-abortion or euthanasia; but we still want your vision within us to be carried out through the Holy Spirit’s planning calendar.  Tell us where to go and when, and with whom, Lord, thus bringing us in step with You and others as we follow your plan as we walk along.

Topics:  Pray for openness to the voice of the Holy Spirit, and ask for vision within and obedient action without.
