§ What is Pro-Life Unity?

To achieve Pro-Life Unity we will establish standards that we all agree upon, and efforts that we all regularly participate in. By working together we can challenge the culture of death and the apathy which is pervasive in our society.

Acts 17:10,11 (Pt.2)  Thought/Prayer:  Noble?  Topics:  2 at end.

“The brethren at once sent Paul and Silas away by night to Beroea, and they, on their arrival, went to the synagogue of the Jews. The Jews at Beroea were of a nobler disposition than those in Thessalonica, for they very readily received the Message, and day after day searched the Scriptures to see whether it was as Paul stated.”  WEY (Read these scriptures and more at http://prayerpivot.com.)

Want to be considered noble by fellow Christians?  To be considered as nobility?  Whoa.  What?

Well, in these words we see that someone considered that the believers in Beroea (or Berea) were quite dedicated to receiving the Message of salvation, readily receiving it and daily searching the scriptures.  We can tell from this that they as a group apparently had hearts open to God and to His Word.  How great would it be to be thought of as such?  Well, it makes one look at his or her own life, to compare.

We all need to take stock of our interest in and readiness for the gospel.  It’s so easy to go easy on God’s Word and to fail to study it and to receive its teachings.  Perhaps we should all strive to be as these Berean brothers and sisters of ours from long ago.  They are still remembered for this!  How about us?

Some of us are called more directly to study the Word as a ministry, we know.  What evangelist or preacher hasn’t spent much time in study?  But we are all called to be into it as our lives in the Lord are directed.  No Christian should be without constant input of God’s words.

Lord, help us to realize when we are putting Your words as secondary in our lives . . . even listening to words from the world around us perhaps, more than attuning our ears to Your words.  If we will diligently search the scriptures, we will then be more able to advise those in struggles of life, death, and Your will for their lives - and the lives of their families.  Let us be considered as of a nobler disposition.

Topics:  Pray for eagerness to study God’s Word and to share it with others in difficult circumstances in LIFE.
