§ What is Pro-Life Unity?

To achieve Pro-Life Unity we will establish standards that we all agree upon, and efforts that we all regularly participate in. By working together we can challenge the culture of death and the apathy which is pervasive in our society.

Acts 17:24-28 (Pt. 4)  Thought/Prayer:  The Life is in the Blood.  Topics:  2 at end.

“The God who made the world and all things in it, he, being Lord of heaven and earth, doesn’t dwell in temples made with hands, neither is he served by men’s hands, as though he needed anything, seeing he himself gives to all life and breath, and all things. He made from one blood every nation of men to dwell on all the surface of the earth, having determined appointed seasons, and the boundaries of their dwellings, that they should seek the Lord, if perhaps they might reach out for him and find him, though he is not far from each one of us. ‘For in him we live, and move, and have our being.’ As some of your own poets have said, ‘For we are also his offspring.’”  (WEB)  (Read this scripture and more at http://prayerpivot.com.)

Please allow me a few other thoughts about the commonality of all humankind, the blood God created within us.  As we see in this scripture, it is from one blood that He made all nations of us to live on this planet of ours.  And there is an amazing thought here that may be mentioned:  The Bible tells us, “The life is in the blood.”  “For the life of all flesh is in the blood: therefore I said to the children of Israel: You shall not eat the blood of any flesh at all, because the life of the flesh is in the blood, and whosoever eateth it, shall be cut off.”  (Leviticus 17:14)

This statement comes when God is speaking to Moses and giving guidelines for sacrificial offerings.  And it’s right there:  Our blood is what contains the life of us.  When you think about it, everything could be physical perfection in us, but should we lose all our blood, we cannot remain living.  The blood coursing through our veins and arteries is a miraculous entity with seemingly endless purposes in our bodies, from keeping our breathing in quality shape, to fighting off the intruders of infections.  Praise God for this marvelous substance!

So, here we have a slightly different aspect of how our human bodies are all alike, alike as human beings.  Someone in Russia breathes well because his lungs do a good job of using the oxygen that comes into his blood through his lungs.  The same for someone in China or India!  We all take in oxygen into our blood and then it does the work God planned for it.

The point is, once again, here we have a commonality with every other human.  The baby in the womb has the system in place – to be activated by that first gulp of the Earth’s air – Often vociferously!

Lord, help us to pray that babies at risk for not being born because of a human, often-uninformed choice, will be born – and that we will totally marvel at the plan God created when He designed each of us with one blood that courses through each of our bodies, as planned.

Topics:  Pray for mothers carrying unplanned/unwanted babies, to realize that the Lord created each one.
