Acts 17:26, 27 (Pt. 2) Thought/Prayer: Popcorn Trees. Topics: 2 at end.
“He made from one blood every nation of men to dwell on all the surface of the earth, having determined appointed seasons, and the boundaries of their dwellings, that they should seek the Lord, if perhaps they might reach out for him and find him, though he is not far from each one of us.†WEB (Read these scriptures and more at http://prayerpivot.com.)
Popcorn trees. That’s what they must be in season. Two days ago, nothing white, on branches; yesterday white frilly; today, fully popped blossoms lookin’ good enough to eat! And these popcorn-style blossom puffs will continue growin a bit on their branches before they fall away, with leaves growing green.
There are other colors showing up on other varieties of limbs: blue, purple, golden. These trees may not look pure “popcorn,†but they are beautiful in their own right and also may maintain the lines of their trees’ limbs as their colors display. On white-blossomed trees in spring, the big puffy blossoms (as seen from a distance away) take over the shape of the tree.
It’s just that God’s springtime growth is so varied and eye-catching. Little children love being held up to touch a blossom of any color. There is wonder in a child’s eyes regarding all of this colorful, if sudden, beauty.
Let’s stand for LIFE for all children conceived, so they may come into the world and enjoy the eye-full beauty of springtime’s trees and bushes . . . looking wide-eyed precious. To deny life before birth is to rob a child of the enjoyment of such things as popped-corn-appearing trees.
Topics: Pray for the birth of conceived children, no matter the circumstances of their conception. Pray for them to come into the world to enjoy it.
