§ What is Pro-Life Unity?
To achieve Pro-Life Unity we will establish standards that we all agree upon, and efforts that we all regularly participate in. By working together we can challenge the culture of death and the apathy which is pervasive in our society.

Acts 3:19 Thought/Prayer: His Presence and Refreshment. Topics: 2 at end.
“Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, when the times of refreshing shall come from the presence of the Lord.” KJV http://www.bible.com (Read this scripture and more at http://prayerpivot.com)
We probably see weekends as times of refreshing. We look forward to being able to more of what we want to do instead of what we have to do or need to do. Even if we like our job, we still probably look toward the weekend as a good break.
“Weekends” are not the same for all of us; people who work on weekends may have different days of the week off. They may have Sunday and Monday or Friday and Saturday or a couple of days in the middle of the week. It’s plain to see that hospitals must remain open on weekends; planes and trains must run; electric plants must make electricity – so people there know their schedules may not include our generally accustomed weekends. But everyone has some time off, in some way (hopefully).
There is a way for us as Christians to be refreshed without a calendar or clock. It is through the Lord Himself. This scripture says that refreshment will come from His presence. Maybe it could be that we don’t even need to be in direct contact with Him, such as through prayer; but just His presence alone is enough to bring us a restful boost of His own making. Actually, just thinking about it here is giving this writer a bit of a break – especially since this is being typed late at night. But whatever time we need refreshment, He is right there being that refreshment, for us, in us.
His refreshment is like none other. If we receive it just from His presence, it is entirely different because in ordinary ways, refreshment comes from a choice we make – either to lie down, to eat, to have a cool lemonade, or to chat with friends. But with Him, it’s just an existence of rest, in relationship.
Lord, thank you for being our needed freshness. Thank you that we do not even have to think about how to be refreshed; rather, your just “being there” for us is enough. Thank you for making this part of Your plans for us, and help us to gain from you the rest we need in order to carry out Your will for LIFE as you have planned through our efforts.
Topics: Pray to be close to the Lord to receive His refreshment.
