§ What is Pro-Life Unity?

To achieve Pro-Life Unity we will establish standards that we all agree upon, and efforts that we all regularly participate in. By working together we can challenge the culture of death and the apathy which is pervasive in our society.

Deuteronomy 11:14   Thought/Prayer:  Water Drops Falling.  Topics:  2 at end.

“He will give to your land the early rain and the latter rain, that you may gather in your corn, and your wine, and your oil, and your hay out of the fields to feed your cattle, and that you may eat and be filled.”  DRA (Read this scripture and more at

It’s raining.  What a blessing to see the water drops falling; we’ve waited so long for some of them to show up.  A deli-cio-so nap is in the offing, set to patters on the roof.  After extreme heat waves across the nation, rain is certainly most welcome even if it might do strange things to a new hairdo or muddy up some carpets.

Where does the rain come from?  From somewhere above the sky?  From those clouds up there?  It’s scientific.  And it doesn’t really matter when we are so welcoming it.  Things look greener now, healthier, more hopeful.  Rain in measured portions does wonders for the outdoors upon which it falls.  We don’t ask for waterfalls thundering on our front yards; we just relish the gentleness of a steady drizzle and a greening up of nature.

The Bible mentions showers of blessing (Ezekiel 34:26b).  These showers today are just that.  And many, as twilight sets, are accompanied by rumbles from the sky:  Midwest thunder.

Lord, we praise you so much for the natural world about us that you have created.  The rain reminds us that we are to be showers of blessing as we walk this natural earth of yours, on Earth.  We want to bless others, Lord, but only in Your ways.  Help us to know how.

Topics:  Pray for the knowledge of when to be a shower of blessing to someone, especially when LIFE issues are concerned.
