§ What is Pro-Life Unity?

To achieve Pro-Life Unity we will establish standards that we all agree upon, and efforts that we all regularly participate in. By working together we can challenge the culture of death and the apathy which is pervasive in our society.

Deuteronomy 28:12 (P t. 4)  Thought/Prayer:  Shall Not Borrow. Topics:  2 at end.

“The Lord will open his excellent treasure, the heaven, that it may give rain in due season: and he will bless all the works of thy hands. And thou shalt lend to many nations, and shalt not borrow of any one.” DRB (Read this scripture and more at http://prayerpivot.com

Of what significance is it that this scripture says that Israel will lend to other nations but will not borrow from any of them.  It would seem that if this were true for every nation on Earth, our problems will be greatly lessened as far as monetary issues are concerned.  What if no nation ever had to borrow money from another?  It’s hard for us to imagine; and that may be an indication of how far off our thinking and fiscal practices may be in this world.

It is not uncommon for nations to borrow funds from each other.  There are complicated issues with this, of course, as banks and lending institutions worldwide may be involved in working out details of huge transactions involving very large amounts of money.  How does anyone even know where to start with this level of monetary give-and-take?

Well, we know that God gives men and women intelligence; and one type of intelligence involves the handing of money and property.  Glad it’s that way.  But sometimes we need some improvement!

To be self-sustaining as a nation would be a worthy status to pursue.  It seems very difficult.  So in the meantime, Christian people must strive to manage their monies well, personally and church-wise.  Really, how can a church remain solvent if its members are not?  If I say I will give $10 or $20 a month, and I don’t do that . . . well, my church will suffer and may not be able to meet its obligations should many other promises be broken.  Yes, we as Christians must manage our money well especially when we support Christian ministries.

Lord, help us strive to maintain our finances in order to not need to borrow as individuals.  And help us as organized entities, such as churches, to remain on solid footing with finances.  And help us to include provision for those in LIFE struggles, as we see opportunity.

Topics:  Pray to use finances well and to use some of our personal ones to help those who could use a bit of cash, especially if they are dealing with large LIFE issues.
Churches across our land to be pro-Life
