§ What is Pro-Life Unity?

To achieve Pro-Life Unity we will establish standards that we all agree upon, and efforts that we all regularly participate in. By working together we can challenge the culture of death and the apathy which is pervasive in our society.

Deuteronomy 8:16 - To Do You Good in the End.

Moses, speaking of God to the Israelites:  “. . . who fed you in the wilderness with manna which your fathers did not know, that he might humble you and test you, to do you good in the end.”

This phrase struck me when I read it (again – I’m sure I’ve read it many times before without really noticing the meaning).  These few words indicate, to me, a huge concept about our God:  He really does see the big picture, the future, our lives yet-to-be-lived.  He considers how today’s happenings play out down our lives’ pathways.

This statement is said to many, many people.  In Numbers 1:45,46, we are told that in the wilderness, all of the Israeli men from age twenty on up, who were able to go to war, were 63,550, and it is estimated that this would expand to about 2.5 million men, women and children.  This consideration by God of our future and our “good” must be quite important to Him.

So, knowing this, perhaps we can look at adversity and testing in the light of God’s plans for us.  Perhaps in the quest to bring LIFE’s culture to our world, we can know that present circumstances or events do not always have to be the summary outcome; God is planning our good in the end.  Pray today that discouraged pro-life people will realize this and remain faithful to the God who plans for us.

Topics:  Pray for nurses today, that they will be able to stand for LIFE when the issue of abortion is broached.

Pray for those who serve on the advisory boards of hospitals, that LIFE will always win over plans for the deletion of life in the name of medical practice.
