§ What is Pro-Life Unity?

To achieve Pro-Life Unity we will establish standards that we all agree upon, and efforts that we all regularly participate in. By working together we can challenge the culture of death and the apathy which is pervasive in our society.

§ Action Code

Help promote the Pro-Life Action Calls which are put out by Pro-Life organizations nationwide.

Eph. 4:1 (Pt. 4)  Thought/Prayer.  Servants.  Topics:  2 at end.

“I, the prisoner in [the] Lord, exhort you therefore to walk worthy of the calling wherewith ye have been called,” . . . DARBY http://  (Read this scripture and more at http://

Just who is it who has the gift of service?  Can we pick out the service-gifted persons in a room filled with Christians?  Do they have this “humbled” aura around them that lets us know that they will probably join us in any task because they want to serve, to help others?

No.  This, of course, is not how it works.  Pondering over a room full of Christians will bring no better results as to their callings than we would get from trying to pick out a bank robber and a bank president in a similar room of average people.  No, we can perhaps determine a gift of service through actions.

A person with service as a part of their makeup will probably be quietly arranging a refreshment table in the back of the room.  Someone may be seen going for extra chairs.  Someone may not be seen because they have already made certain there are extra chairs in place before an event.  The service person may be there after others have left, making sure everything is accounted for and put away before others use the room later.

Our Lord was a servant, the greatest of all (Mt. 20:28).  He helped people wherever he found them or wherever they found Him.  “. . . How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and with power: who went about doing good, and healing all that were oppressed of the devil; for God was with him” (Acts 10:38) (KJV).  Can we possibly interpret this that he quietly went about doing good?  It could figure.

It is true that servant-hearts within Christians reveal their content through, yes, service.  Many times we will never know the service that someone put into an event, labors of love but nevertheless potentially tiring.  It is because of this aspect of servanthood that the gift of service is sometimes either ignored or not found appealing.  But the person with the true servant’s heart will not mind.  They will not seek accolades; they will not want to be pointed out doing their good.  They just serve and expect nothing back.  Therein can lie their joy.

Lord, help us all to represent you as servants in all we do.  And, Lord, if our major talent for you is in serving, then help us to know it – but if we really don’t know it, help us to not worry about it and just keep on serving.  If it involves pro-life service, we will glady be there for whatever task is set before us.

Topics:  Pray to serve gladly in whatever we do for the Lord; and if our major activities involve service, help us to know that You are our great example, Lord.
