§ What is Pro-Life Unity?

To achieve Pro-Life Unity we will establish standards that we all agree upon, and efforts that we all regularly participate in. By working together we can challenge the culture of death and the apathy which is pervasive in our society.

Eph. 1:9,10 (Pt. 2)  Thought/Prayer:  Us?  Wisdom and Insight?  Topics:  2 at end.

“For he has made known to us in all wisdom and insight the mystery of his will, according to his purpose which he set forth in Christ
as a plan for the fulness of time, to unite all things in him, things in heaven and things on earth.”  RSV [Scripture quotations are from] Revised Standard Version of the Bible, copyright © 1946, 1952, and 1971 National Council of the Churches of Christ in the United States of America. What could it mean, his will being made known to us in “all wisdom and insight”?  Who has the wisdom and insight?  God?  Surely not us!  It is God.  In God’s wisdom and insight we are taught about His will.  Of course, His wisdom has always been in the universe, and His plans have been carried out “according to His purpose,” as stated in this scripture.

Yes, it is God who is the author of wisdom and insight – and he does pass it on to us, when we’re open to discerning it.  He teaches us as He chooses in order to complete his plan which is purposed in Christ – and for the “fullness” of time, which, could perhaps mean the completion of time, according to “His” calendar and clock.  Not ours.  Our sense of time is small compared to His timing of plans.

But we can know at least part of His will, day by day – And we know that we are to treat the weak and vulnerable with special consideration.  The baby in the womb, or a centenarian in a special home are weak and vulnerable – and it is up to us to honor God by protecting them.  He always sees the “big picture” clear into eternity, but we can call on Him to help serve these needy individuals according to His plans – and His big plan is helped along by this.  The smallest gesture of kindness or respect to an elder or an unwed mother is not missed by our God of wisdom and insight.  If a sparrow’s falling does not go unnoticed, we know we have His attention through kindly service.

Lord, today we pray that we may be aware of all opportunities you send to us to stand up for the weak and vulnerable, in honor of You, of wisdom and insight.

Topics:  Pray for increased awareness of what God will have us do to honor the weak and vulnerable.
