§ What is Pro-Life Unity?

To achieve Pro-Life Unity we will establish standards that we all agree upon, and efforts that we all regularly participate in. By working together we can challenge the culture of death and the apathy which is pervasive in our society.

Ephesians 1:15-23 (Pt. 2)  Thought/Prayer:  He is Glorious.  Topics:  2 at end.

“15 For this reason I too, having heard of the faith in the Lord Jesus which prevails among you, and of your love for all God’s people, 16offer never ceasing thanks on your behalf while I make mention of you in my prayers. 17For I always beseech the God of our Lord Jesus Christ—the Father most glorious—to give you a spirit of wisdom and penetration through an intimate knowledge of Him, 18the eyes of your understanding being enlightened so that you may know what is the hope which His call to you inspires, what the wealth of the glory of His inheritance in God’s people, 19and what the transcendent greatness of His power in us believers as seen in the working of His infinite might 20when He displayed it in Christ by raising Him from the dead and seating Him at His own right hand in the heavenly realms, 21high above all other government and authority and power and dominion, and every title of sovereignty used either in this Age or in the Age to come. 22God has put all things under His feet, and has appointed Him universal and supreme Head of the Church, which is His Body, 23the completeness of Him who everywhere fills the universe with Himself.”  WEY (Read these scriptures and more at

Paul, writing to the Ephesian Christians says when mentioning God, “. . . the God of our Lord Jesus Christ—the Father most glorious— . . . ”  Doesn’t Paul have quite a skill to say so much in so few words?  The words just seem to roll off his tongue (or from his pen or from someone who pens letters for him) so easily.  It seems that his way of describing God is especially lovely.  And really, Who is more lovely than God?  In His position as Father, Paul says He is the most glorious one.  And He is.

No one will ever come one degree close to the glorious beauty of God.  No human being has ever seen Him in all His glory.  We cannot look upon Him because we cannot take Him into our senses:  He is too wonderfully glorious, shining out in pure light that we cannot comprehend.  In Exodus 34, the Israelites could not look upon the face of Moses after He had come down from the mountain where he had been with God.

Paul just naturally includes this characteristic when speaking of God.  Lord, may we hope to include You in our conversations or letters or texts so naturally.  This comes form familiarity, from knowing You and Your character.  Hopefully, with Your influence in our lives, Lord, others who are struggling with decisions will see Your light-glorious and want it in their lives also.

Topics:  Pray to be close to God in order that His glorious beauty and nature will glow out to others and that LIFE may be lifted up.
