§ What is Pro-Life Unity?

To achieve Pro-Life Unity we will establish standards that we all agree upon, and efforts that we all regularly participate in. By working together we can challenge the culture of death and the apathy which is pervasive in our society.

Ephesians 1:15-23   Thought/Prayer:  Encouragement and Prayers.  Topics:  2 at end.

15 “For this reason I too, having heard of the faith in the Lord Jesus which prevails among you, and of your love for all God’s people, 16offer never ceasing thanks on your behalf while I make mention of you in my prayers. 17For I always beseech the God of our Lord Jesus Christ—the Father most glorious—to give you a spirit of wisdom and penetration through an intimate knowledge of Him, 18the eyes of your understanding being enlightened so that you may know what is the hope which His call to you inspires, what the wealth of the glory of His inheritance in God’s people, 19and what the transcendent greatness of His power in us believers as seen in the working of His infinite might 20when He displayed it in Christ by raising Him from the dead and seating Him at His own right hand in the heavenly realms, 21high above all other government and authority and power and dominion, and every title of sovereignty used either in this Age or in the Age to come. 22God has put all things under His feet, and has appointed Him universal and supreme Head of the Church, which is His Body, 23the completeness of Him who everywhere fills the universe with Himself.”  WEY (Read these scriptures and more at

Paul writes to the church at Ephesus these words of encouragement and praise.  He is encouraging his fellow believers by letting them know that he prays for them and is ever thankful to God for them.  What more could they desire from a fellow believer, especially one who represents Christ to them in such a strong way?  They knew Paul personally, and his great dedication and strength in the Lord had to be admired.  Here he tells them that he is thankful for them and mentions them to God in prayer.

How significant it is that he meant so much to these people, living in their city for a while and preaching.  We are told in Acts 19 that he argued persuasively and boldly for the Lord!  He also performed miracles.  And he is thankful for them!

It is such a blessing when believers honor one another in the Lord.  The results of this are often seen by those who do not know the Lord or are questioning whether to believe or not.  To see this type of support among believers cannot help but add to the cause of believing.

Lord, help us to honor one another in Your love.  It is so easy to get into frictions and quarrels.  It’s one of the human characteristics you’ve allowed to be in us.  But we need not live by these; we can . . . and must . . . live in You and with each other.  May we stay close to You, Lord; it will then be easier to love our fellow believers and to be able to say that we are thankful for them and do pray for them.

Topics:  Pray that God will let us see our Christian counterparts in the eyes of God and that this will help us be a draw to Christ for those with whom we share His desires for LIFE, created and by God’s hand.
