§ What is Pro-Life Unity?

To achieve Pro-Life Unity we will establish standards that we all agree upon, and efforts that we all regularly participate in. By working together we can challenge the culture of death and the apathy which is pervasive in our society.

§ Action Code

Help promote the Pro-Life Action Calls which are put out by Pro-Life organizations nationwide.

Ephesians 4:14-15 (Pt. 2) Thought/Prayer: Speak or Do. Topics: 2 at end.

“That henceforth we be no more children tossed to and fro, and carried about with every wind of doctrine by the wickedness of men, by cunning craftiness, by which they lie in wait to deceive; But doing the truth in charity, we may in all things grow up in him who is the head, even Christ: . . .  DRA (Read this scripture and more at

We often hear about speaking the truth in love, the more familiar use of words in this scripture passage.  Here, it’s not “speaking” the truth . . . but “doing” the truth.  Is there a large difference here to be compared? It would depend upon our view of the differences it seems.

We say; we do.  We can say without doing; we can do without saying.  Really, the point is easily missed because both saying and doing are important when considering truth.  Let’s consider a situation involving a LIFE issue.  We know someone who is considering an abortion.  How can what we say or do affect this decision in the truth?  Let’s say that there are sidewalk counselors at an abortion clinic.  Do they “say,” or do they “do” something?

Perhaps the scenario works like this:  The abortion-bound woman is walking to the clinic door.  A sidewalk counselor may say something to her.  Or a sidewalk counselor may offer her a piece of information, a brochure perhaps, offering counsel and help.  Or a sidewalk counselor may say, and do.  If there is a pregnancy crisis center next door, the counselor may say things about its availability and then may offer to walk the woman to the clinic.  Both are “speaking” or “doing” the truth in love/charity.  The combination of both may be the most effective.  But either/or:  we do as we are led and leave the outcome up to the Lord.

Topics:  Pray for wisdom regarding when to speak and when to act in our pro-life work.  Then listen; speak; or do.
America’s churches, that the will speak and do the truth in love regarding abortion
