Christ knows what gifts to give us, and in what measure. Since gifts are free, we can lose a lot of time and energy trying to figure out why Christ felt us worthy to even be gifted. If we cannot accept the fact that a gift is a gift and not something we earn, we can be stifled in the service we give and the results seen in serving God.
God wants us to be confident and not timid (II Tim. 1:7). We are to step forth knowing that He is our all in all. If we’re worrying about worthiness, we may just be worrying our worth away, caught in a stew of self-doubt. Lord, help us today to be confident in you and help us to use your resources – the gifts given each of us – to further your glory on Earth and to further LIFE around the globe.
