§ What is Pro-Life Unity?

To achieve Pro-Life Unity we will establish standards that we all agree upon, and efforts that we all regularly participate in. By working together we can challenge the culture of death and the apathy which is pervasive in our society.

Ephesians 6:11   Thought/Prayer:  Why Pray for Air Force personnel?  Topics:  2 at end.

“Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.” ”  KJV (Read this scripture and more at http://prayerpivot.com)

If we as Christians are to put on the “whole armour” of God, can we not pray for our military branches to be godly in approach?  We, as Christians, depend upon the military service to provide us with safety; and as safe persons, we are free to carry out our ministries without the concern that we are safe.  All believers would agree that God is our ultimate safe Person, and we know that those in the military sin just as all people do, including Christians, and we know that no military is perfect.  But we must thank God for the offensive and defensive stances of our military branches.  And we should pray for all of the branches, that they will hold human life in great regard.  We must pray for them as such:  that the taking of the lives of the non-military and innocent (civilians, children, women, the feeble, the handicapped and more) will be at only the most extreme moments.  Yes, the value of human life is a very big issue for any military organization.

It may seem strange to consider, but perhaps just as doctors are dedicated to the saving of human lives, so are individuals in the military.  They seek the higher good and use force only when deemed necessary, limiting the killing of any human as much as possible.  Women and children are given special consideration when battle plans are effected:  women and children are pivotal in the in the securing of the human future.  And, when a comrade in arms is struck down, all measures are employed to rescue and save.

So, Lord, as we think of the United States Air Force, help us to think of policies toward life.  Help us to uphold the leaders, that they may retain godly attitudes toward the value of human life, even as they seek to defend it with possible loss of life.  Lord, help the losses to be as minimal as possible.

Topics:  Pray for the United States Air Force to maintain strong policies toward the value of human life.
