Exodus 1:22 Thought/Prayer: Still Killing Babies. Topics: 2 at end.
Upon being fearful of the potential power of the Israelite people, “And Pharaoh charged all his people, saying, ‘Every son that is born ye shall cast into the river, and every daughter ye shall save alive.’” http://www.bible.com/
This morning in a sermon it was said that Satan was in the business of taking the lives of babies, more than once. When Moses was a baby, he had to be hidden in a basket in a river (interestingly, since that is where the the Israelite baby boys were to be drowned) to avoid possible death. We all know that the Lord Jesus as a baby had to flee to Egypt to avoid the jealous King Herod who feared for his crown.
We’re still killing babies, mostly preborn, but not always; some who survive are then murdered – thrown in the trash, on a roof, or flushed away. How grievous to our hearts.
Please, God, we pray today that you will convict soon to end this slaughter. We pray for your grace to touch those who do this and turn them totally around. We pray for your power to overcome the Enemy, soon, soon!
