§ What is Pro-Life Unity?

To achieve Pro-Life Unity we will establish standards that we all agree upon, and efforts that we all regularly participate in. By working together we can challenge the culture of death and the apathy which is pervasive in our society.

Genesis 1:14, 15 ( Pt. 2)  Thought/Prayer:  Top of a Yellow Orb.  Topics:  2 at end.

“And God said, Let there be lights in the firmament of the heaven to divide the day from the night; and let them be for signs, and for seasons, and for days, and years:  And let them be for lights in the firmament of the heaven to give light upon the earth: and it was so.”  KJV http://www.bible.com  (Read this scripture and more at ttp://prayerpivot.com)

God’s natural blessings sometimes come in 3’s or 5’s.  Last night we saw (1) a harvest moon, (2) Jupiter very close-up to Earth, (3) Uranus very close to Jupiter, and (4) we noted the autumnal equinox.  They say that Jupiter was “in opposition” to the sun:  the sun went down; Jupiter came up in tandem, opposite (sort of like a teeter totter I guess).  Harvest moons happen when the autumnal equinox happens on a night of the full moon, not very often.

But this is not all.  Driving east this morning at sunrise, there appeared a dazzling bright yellow something sitting on the highway, way in the distance.  It was as wide as my two-lane road, rounded on top, barely showing.  Perhaps it was the top of some neon yellow fun-park attraction or such.

But no.  No: It was an orb, the sun.  My (#5) natural blessing was Ol’ Sol in the brightest intensified glow of rising yellow ever.  I’m afraid I couldn’t not look directly at it.  I had been hoping to see this, but now the vividness of it was beyond any thought.  When the equinoxes come, when driving exactly east (at sunrise) or west (at sunset), the sun should sit exactly on the road ahead.  That’s how God lines it up!  I tried to see this the day before, but the alignment wasn’t there yet.  Today it is, and I have joy.  I rarely drive east at sunrise – almost didn’t today.  Thank you, God, for orchestrating a wonder for me today with timed perfection.  By the time I forced myself to turn off to my destination, the sun was 80% risen.  And after I parked and looked again, the intensity had waned and the sun no longer sat on the road.

So, how in the world, can I write something pro-life into this?  Besides praising my Lord for his natural blessings, what’s here for LIFE?

It’s the Other Son.  I thought of Him right away, and I think it has to do with conviction.  God’s Son who created our natural sun blazes his righteousness and light on our paths.  We should crave His settling down on the center of our roadways, taking up residence, and being rooted to the road.  His neon dazzle will probe rays right into our hearts, pinpointing us to convict to act.  If we truly through faith are magnetized toward His brilliance, we cannot turn off of the road to a lesser destination.

We know that He will never lose intensity or exhaust His power.  We must allow that probing light of His to prick us where we need it most – including what we should do concerning abortion vs. LIFE.

Tomorrow morning the sun will not sit in that exact position.  It won’t for six more months.  But the Sun of Righteousness never moves.  Lord, we are so thankful that you are so convicting and so faithful.  Help us to think more and more about what we can do to save the babies and the vulnerable of our world, even as we bask in the sunlight of the day, toward LIFE.

Topics:  Lord, help us to allow your convicting light to have full reign in our lives.
