§ What is Pro-Life Unity?

To achieve Pro-Life Unity we will establish standards that we all agree upon, and efforts that we all regularly participate in. By working together we can challenge the culture of death and the apathy which is pervasive in our society.

Genesis 2:7 (Pt. 2)  Thought/Prayer:  The Forming of Man.  Topics:  2 at end.

“And the LORD God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul.” AKJV (Read these scriptures and more at http://prayerpivot.com.)

There are three steps here:  God formed the first person from dust; God breathed breath into his nostrils; the man became a living being.  These steps were taken by the Creator of every person ever conceived and born.  The seeming simplicity of this could be thought to be minimizing.  But no.  When we think of the complexity of the human body, the human composition, we can never minimize.  However it was, and however God carried out these steps, “man” happened.  (And later, “woman.”)

We don’t see these three steps when considering how a baby grows in the womb.  For one thing, from the first man Adam, together with Eve, we have the first persons formed in the womb – Eve’s.  From that point all persons created came through the processes in mother’s womb.  Scripture tells us that we are actually knit together, a process that makes tearing very difficult (Psalm 139:13, 15).  A knitted sweater has all of those yarns going in and under and through and around, and we can’t just pick it up and tear it easily.  By knitting us, God made us strong in the womb.

When doing all of this knitting of us, God made a very complex design, including all the systems of the body – veins and arteries; digestive; vision; hearing; reproductive; brainy.  No, those three steps God took with Adam were in no way minimal and simple; they were complex and intricate and totally planned.  It is the same with us when we are born with all of the systems ready to go, at the times they are to kick in, age-wise.  God even planned teenagers!

Lord, thank You for giving us this description of the creation of the first person to ever live on Planet Earth.  And thank you for Psalm 139 that further explains Your process in this.  Perhaps, Lord, in some way the knowledge of this can help us assist people going through tough times of decision-making regarding life and death.  Maybe we can share with them Your plan for the creation of all people including those in the crisis of decision.

Topics:  Pray to remember how God created all people from His original and ancient plan.  Pray to be able to share about this with those who need to know how special they and their families are.
