§ What is Pro-Life Unity?

To achieve Pro-Life Unity we will establish standards that we all agree upon, and efforts that we all regularly participate in. By working together we can challenge the culture of death and the apathy which is pervasive in our society.

Genesis 9:12 (Pt. 3) Thought/Prayer: Rainbow-Surprise. Topics: 2 @ end.

Speaking of a rainbow:  “And God said, This is the sign of the covenant that I set between me and you and every living soul that is with you, for everlasting generations:  . . . “ DBT   (Read this scripture and more at

Rainbows surprise us . . . pleasantly!  Who would not want a rainbow sitting on the toe of a shoe or at a sideways glance on a piece of furniture nearby?  Many, many photos are taken of rainbows, all beautiful representations but never as deep and beautiful as the original.  Who can out-color God?!  And they are no respecter of anything!  They can place themselves in the most unusually places:  on a bathtub, on a pile of dry old wood; on a horse or a kitten. Just think of a white puppy colored temporarily with blue, green, yellow . . .

God surprises us too (He, the creator of rainbows of course).  He gives us little surprises along in life . . . maybe an unexpected happiness or a newly found love . . . maybe an understanding we thought would never come . . . maybe a baby.

Yes, God surprises us with babies, and these surprises are not always greeted with joy.  An unexpected baby should delight us, we say.  Well, not if circumstances are less than honorable; not if money is tight; not if things done in secret are now made obviously known.  And yet our Maker delights in every created child.  His love is never as surprising as a rainbow.

So how do we help those surprised with new life within?  Pray.  Serve.  Counsel if possible.  Stand; stand for LIFE.  Always be ready to stand for LIFE, because as surprising as a rainbow may be an opportunity to say we believe in created LIFE and in the Maker of it and in the children created.

Lord, help us do this.  Help us be faithful.  Help us perhaps surprise others with our wise counsel, wise only because we have asked it from You.  Help us to help others welcome a surprise child as they do a suddenly-noticed rainbow.

Topics:  Pray for families with surprise babies coming, especially any you know.
