§ What is Pro-Life Unity?

To achieve Pro-Life Unity we will establish standards that we all agree upon, and efforts that we all regularly participate in. By working together we can challenge the culture of death and the apathy which is pervasive in our society.

Genesis 9:12   Thought/Prayer:  A Rainbow on Me.  Topics:  2 at end.

“And God said, This is the sign of the covenant that I set between me and you and every living soul that is with you, for everlasting generations:  . . . “ DBT   (Read this scripture and more at http://prayerpivot.com.)

I have a rainbow on me, its appearance a bit of serendipity, a pleasing surprise.  But, actually, the rainbow was here before I came into this room; I actually sat down into it, not realizing.  Suddenly, here is its beauty! . . .  on my computer’s frame, my pant leg, my cabinet drawer.  The colors are really intense, too.

And they are in movement. My computer-frame one is walking right, on the top edge, little by little.  My drawer’s arc has edged eastward; my pant leg no longer sports any color . . . but the bottom of my shirt now does: (Rainbow-rustlers at work).  Now, I stand up, and my drawer has to share its colors with the blue fabric on my desk chair, sending it red, orange, yellow and green.  The drawer retains blue and purple,

Whoops – the drawer’s colors are now race to the edge, and green has joined the blue and purple, and my chair seat elongates all the others a bit.  By sitting down, and sending the chair’s rainbows back onto my leg, with swiveling I can even dance those colors all along my leg.

How fun to enjoy rainbows. I’ve never known anyone who didn’t appreciate them.  They seem to just lie around and glow.  Yes, they do that, appearing for a while and then going.  But still I have to remember that I didn’t cause my rainbow; I sat down into it, unaware.

In the Bible, rainbows are of utmost importance.  To name just some: the most well-known one is the rainbow that God designed to show Noah and the world that He would never again send a flood to destroy the entire Earth.  And, in Revelation 10 we find an angel coming from Heaven, with a rainbow over his head.  And Revelation 4:03 tells us that there is a rainbow around the throne of God!  Yes, rainbows are important.

Poetically, we could say that every life is rainbow of colors.  Think of babies, preborn, and all the potential they carry to build their “colors” in life, according to the gifts and abilities given them by their Creator.  Just think of the waste of these gifts and abilities, colors of life, that are destroyed with intentional premature death in the womb.  It is very saddening.

Lord, help us to remember all the colors every person in the world has available to describe their lives.  We pray that mothers and fathers will see all these possibilities and will heavily consider these when planning to end a life in the womb.

Topics:  Pray that every preborn child will have opportunity to color their lives as God sees because they are allowed to be born!
