§ What is Pro-Life Unity?

To achieve Pro-Life Unity we will establish standards that we all agree upon, and efforts that we all regularly participate in. By working together we can challenge the culture of death and the apathy which is pervasive in our society.

I Chronicles 16:34 (Pt. 4)  Thought/Prayer:  Ponder Goodness, Mercy.  Topics:  2 at end.

“O give thanks to the LORD; for he is good; for his mercy endureth for ever.”  KJV (Read this scripture and more at http://prayerpivot.com)

Some ponderings about goodness and mercy:

Thank you, Lord, for the mercy in Your goodness, especially for the persons whose sin has made them in need of great mercy, as they consider Your goodness.

Thank You for loving the preborn and the centenarian and assigning them equal worth, and both have eventual equal access, through Christ, to both Your goodness and Your mercy.

Thank you, Lord, for these words:  “For I desire mercy, and not sacrifice; and the knowledge of God more than burnt offerings.” (Hosea 6:6) (WEB) We always need your mercy; and may we turn that mercy into - not an sacrifice of an animal’s blood - but a sacrifice of praise, based on the sacrifice You made for us, with Your blood.

Thank you that, although we are human and not like you, Lord, you have given us a good word concerning Your character, that word being -  yes - “good.”  It is a word that we can begin to understand even with the limitations of our humanness.  Help us to know more and more, hour by hour, all the aspects of this goodness of Yours.

Lord, when we are serving in pro-life service or other, help us to know that Your goodness and mercy are always available for us and for those whom we serve.  As we bask in the light of your goodness and mercy, may others see it and find belief and hope.

Topics:  Praise God, and thank Him for His goodness that He makes known to us.  Help us to show others how to appropriate this as we serve those facing severe decisions about lives in their circle of family and friends.
