§ What is Pro-Life Unity?

To achieve Pro-Life Unity we will establish standards that we all agree upon, and efforts that we all regularly participate in. By working together we can challenge the culture of death and the apathy which is pervasive in our society.

I Cor. 13:13 (Pt.4)  Thought/Prayer:  Kids and Love-Leaders.  Topics:  2 at end.

“And now abide faith, hope, love, these three; but the greatest of these is love.”  KJV (Read this scripture and more at

How is it that God instills into some young persons a great love for others perhaps not commonly experienced?  I think of a young woman who cared for old men with and severe and multiple disabilities in addition to mental handicaps.  I think of kids we see on TV who have organized groups to help others, whether it be a grandmother who lost her home in a fire or a fund raiser for a young friend fighting cancer.  However this happens, we praise the Lord for these great youth and their contributions to the world.

Kids are born to love others.  Over and over it happens that children who are even abused by their parents still love mom and dad and want to be with them.  That’s why it’s so tragic when a preborn child loses its life to an abortionist.  There is one less child in the world to love their parents and also others.

The children who do the extraordinary things for others are themselves, indeed, extraordinary.  No one can say for certain how some kids stand out among others.  But we know that in the Bible, there were people born to be leaders, born to be extraordinary and “do” extraordinary.

We see it in adult society.  Not all of us will be Billy Grahams or president of a nation.  Not all of us will write a major symphony or break lots of Olympic records.  So what do we do?  Nothing, because we’re not one of those types?  No.

It seems that if we didn’t have followers, we would not have . . . no, need  . . .  leaders.  If we were all leaders of a band, there would be 60 persons standing in front of some instruments, waving their hands in time to a beat – and all the instruments mute, not a one carrying a tune.  So follow we do.  Although we don’t understand it, God just gives some persons the abilities to lead others.

But the thing about leaders singled out by God may be just this:  They have a lot of love.  Love for others; country; or love for God:  And love for their cause most of all.  Love is the greatest even above faith and hope, according to the above scripture; and, when we pair that with leaders chosen by God – well, extraordinary is the most really extraordinary.

Lord, let us appreciate those upon which You bestow the love and leadership to make differences, through young or old.  Let us value children even while they are in the womb because we never know when one of them will be the next great love-leader destined to serve us all.

Topics:  Pray for the future leaders who are in the womb, to be birthed.
