§ What is Pro-Life Unity?

To achieve Pro-Life Unity we will establish standards that we all agree upon, and efforts that we all regularly participate in. By working together we can challenge the culture of death and the apathy which is pervasive in our society.

I Peter 2:6 (Pt. 3)  Thought/Prayer:  All Atilt.  Topics:  2 at end.

“Because it is contained in the scripture: Behold, I lay in Zion a corner stone, elect, precious: and he that believes on him shall not be put to shame.”  (DBT)  (Read this scripture and more at

I Corinthians 3:6-9   “I planted and Apollos watered; but it was God who was, all the time, giving the increase. So that neither the planter nor the waterer is of any importance. God who gives the increase is all in all. Now in aim and purpose the planter and the waterer are one; and yet each will receive his own special reward, answering to his own special work. Apollos and I are simply fellow workers for and with God, and you are *God’s* field— *God’s* building” (WNT).

We are going to consider these two scriptures together because they both are about Christians building their buildings of faith on Jesus Christ the Cornerstone and how He sets the beginning block so that the buildings go up straight, upright.  But for some, the question is:  What if my life seems tilted?  A person may have great faith and strive to build their lives (and their faith-lives) on the Lord Jesus Christ.  But it just seems that things never get straight . . . never get straightened out – or up, so to speak.

Well, maybe it is the prayers of the rest of us, whose lives seem to be going up well, based on the Lord, to cover for our brethren who struggle so.  And we must pray for those who do not believe yet, and whose lives seem all atilt and unsteady because of circumstances, decisions, and uncertainty.

We all have times in our lives when things seem to be going smoothly, and we might view our faith-building as standing tall and tight to the ground, never angling off center at all.  And then there are times when life just never seems based on anything but slippery sand or slick mud that fluctuates with the steps we take in it.  Often circumstances just seem to pull any carpet out from under us like a throw rug on a slippery floor.

Yes, it is the rest of us who need to pray for God’s foundation to be known soon for those of us in these straits.  When someone is unable to pray for their selves, others step in and hold them up.  Paul wrote to the Thessalonians in Thessalonians 5:25.  “Brethren, pray for us.”

Even though our lives seem askew at times, God is straight up and never wavering.  In His time, things straighten out and up.  Lord, help us to pray for those whose lives seem all in disarray and off-base.  If it is LIFE decisions with which they struggle, help them get steady in You, and then things will be viewed more clearly from the plumb line of You and the spiritual buildings You help us build.

Topics:  Pray for those who are going through such rough times that they don’t know how to pray for the stability they need in their lives.
