§ What is Pro-Life Unity?

To achieve Pro-Life Unity we will establish standards that we all agree upon, and efforts that we all regularly participate in. By working together we can challenge the culture of death and the apathy which is pervasive in our society.

I Peter 2:6 (Pt. 4)  Thought/Prayer:  Not Put to Shame.  Topics:  2 at end.

“Because it is contained in the scripture: Behold, I lay in Zion a corner stone, elect, precious: and he that believes on him shall not be put to shame.”  (DBT)  (Read this scripture and more at http://prayerpivot.com.)

One small phrase here has meaning for us.  It’s at the end of this verse:  “. . . and he that believes on him shall not be put to shame.”  “Him,” of course, is Jesus Christ, the cornerstone of our faith.  And as we consider His stability and the perfect placement of our faith-cornerstone, we have great reason to not be put to shame.  And why is this?

Could it be that when we build our house of faith on the Lord Jesus, He is the contractor?  The construction engineer?  He is in our faith’s thoughts, and He guides our hands as we build day by day.  He provides us the tools we need to plan our building:  prayer; the Word of God; fellow believers who counsel us; His wisdom in decisions.  And because He is the sure foundation, we know that we have the best start with the cornerstone that He is, perfectly set.

Our faith’s building is, of course, viewed by others through our daily lives.  Others see us going, doing, serving, just living as everyone does.  They may not see the structure we’re building on faith.  But they can see the results.

This is why we need not be ashamed.  If we build on the Lord Jesus’ cornerstone, then our daily “house” will maintain a worthy appearance, and we will be known for our integrity, honesty, love and service.  Our faith-house comes through into our daily-life’s house.  And we can be assured that both will be sturdy and straight up.

Lord, thank You that we can build our lives on Earth into a visible house of service; and we also thank You that the building we build on faith will be the real foundation, as we seek You as we build.

Topics:  Thank the Lord for the house of faith He helps us build and that the cornerstone is sure, that we may not be ashamed.  Pray for those in LIFE crises to see how our cornerstone is set secure and can also be theirs.
God’s purpose for our nation and for others around the world
