§ What is Pro-Life Unity?

To achieve Pro-Life Unity we will establish standards that we all agree upon, and efforts that we all regularly participate in. By working together we can challenge the culture of death and the apathy which is pervasive in our society.

I Peter 5:10   Thought/Prayer:  Quieted and Settled.  Topics:  2 at end.

“And the God of all grace, who did call you to His age-during glory in Christ Jesus, having suffered a little, Himself make you perfect, establish, strengthen, settle [you]; to Him [is] the glory, and the power—to the ages and the ages! Amen.”  Young’s Literal Translation (YLT)  (Read this scripture and more at

We go through most unsettling times.  Every minute it seems that Earth is in crisis.  Families struggle.  Misunderstandings remain misunderstood.  Plans not only go awry but stay that way for decades.  Prayers seem to take decades to have an answer.  We rail against this all and grumble and complain and employ the practice of fearing the future.  It becomes a habit, to want to look down in exhaustion when thinking of tomorrow’s struggles.

Mothers in a pregnancy crisis may live this way 24/7, thrashing around even in sleep.  They deal with enormous situations with enormous potential consequences.  They are doing emotional wrestling within even while the babe within them kicks and pokes and has a grand time moving about.

Is there any hope for women in this situation?  How can we help them?  We may never personally know such a lady going through this struggle between LIFE and death.  And in our own lives we are struggling against misunderstandings and plans awry – how can we be expected to help these mothers we have never met?  It seems too much, too frustrating and overwhelming in light of that with which we are already dealing.

Well, for them and for us, there is this scripture:  God will settle us.  His firm hand will cover us and quiet us until we are settled.  We settle into His capable hands and sigh, so glad to be there.  No, we can’t see around us to examine His beautiful fingers.  But He tells us that he keeps us in the palm of his hand.  “Behold, I have graven thee upon the palms of my hands; thy walls are continually before me; . . . “Isaiah 49:16 Douay-Rheims 1899 American Revision  (Read this scripture and more at

Lord, may we meditate on these words, these verses, as we go through our seemingly endless shaken-up, strung-out lives.  Please bring them to mind when we battle whirlwinds and storms of sand.  Let us claim them for others as well as ourselves.  Please settle us all.

Topics: Pray for reminders that God sees all big pictures and knows every detail of a panorama of our lives.
