Is 59:15,16(4)Tht/Pryr:Intercessor Advocates.Topics@end.
“Yes, truth is lacking; and he who departs from evil makes himself a prey. Yahweh saw it, and it displeased him that there was no justice. He saw that there was no man, and wondered that there was no intercessor: therefore his own arm brought salvation to him; and his righteousness, it upheld him.†WEB (Read this scripture and more at http://prayerpivot.com)
Do you think that God notices when you or I cease to be intercessors? Intercessors in prayer? Intercessors for the betterment of all kinds of things? What is an intercessor anyway!? And how does an intercessor “prayer†you?
To this writer’s understanding, an intercessor is someone who intercedes – goes between. Usually it is a third party whose involvement is between two other persons, or situations involving two or more persons. We see this in everyday life, even in courts. Often there is someone who gets up to tell their side of a story in order to help someone who is on trial because of accusations that have been made. This could be seen as a form of intercession.
There are those who intercede for children when injustices have prevailed. There are court-appointed intercessors for kids with troubled lives, some of these adults giving time for kids as volunteers. And what parent has not on (probably many) occasions stood as an intercessor between siblings?
The best advocacy any type of intercessor can contribute is prayer. “I prayer you. (I lift up prayers for you, lift you up in prayer.)
I dare you, I prayer you. But what is the dare all about? Dare someone to pray and to expect answers. With “I dare you†to pray and expect answers . . . I prayer you may reveal the answer, eventually. In fact, those who dare to pray will eventually know the answer or see things in a different light, under God’s leadership.
Lord, let us consider daring a fellow Christian to pray, and to believe Your answers will come. Also, let us prayer them, and not just once or twice. Over and over. And help us include some prayers for those in LIFE events that are difficult and overwhelming.
