Is 59:15,16 (P t. 2) Thought/Prayer: I Dare You & Wise Answers. Topics: 2 at end.
“Yes, truth is lacking; and he who departs from evil makes himself a prey. Yahweh saw it, and it displeased him that there was no justice. He saw that there was no man, and wondered that there was no intercessor: therefore his own arm brought salvation to him; and his righteousness, it upheld him.” WEB (Read this scripture and more at http://prayerpivot.com)
We know that intercession carries with it an amount of wisdom. And we find ourselves in situations that call for diplomatic intercession advocacy. And where is the best source of advice in sorting out some sticky situation needing advocacy? In God. He knows all. He knows all the angles and even all the circumferences and areas! He knows entire situations . . . so much better than we mortals who are limited by time and space. God is not.
He is not limited by anything. This is comforting when we see in scripture, such as this one above, that if we stand against evil we can become prey to the evil. Pray, and we become prey? It can happen. And if it does, God will help us. We know that God will look out after us if we dare to pray. This is not to say that everything turns out to be positive. But in all things, God will be there.
So, I dare you to pray? Well, I even dare myself to pray. Why not? Try it. It’s a great dare. “Self, I dare you to pray.” It’s positive; it’s wise; it’s godly . . . godly because there is no one else to whom we may pray. Only to God. And if our dare brings us to watching for His wise answers with more due diligence, then we have won our own dare.
Lord, help us to see you and to pray to You with due diligence no matter if we have dared ourselves or not. But help us also to dare others to pray. Perhaps we should dare ourselves to pray for them, especially if they struggle with LIFE things beyond human wisdom.
Topics: Pray for willingness to dare to pray . . . dares to ourselves and others.
