§ What is Pro-Life Unity?

To achieve Pro-Life Unity we will establish standards that we all agree upon, and efforts that we all regularly participate in. By working together we can challenge the culture of death and the apathy which is pervasive in our society.

Isaiah 41:17-20   Thought/Prayer:  He Holds the Hose.  Topics:  2 at end.

“When the poor and needy seek water, and there is none, and their tongue faileth for thirst, I the LORD will hear them, I the God of Israel will not forsake them.  I will open rivers in high places, and fountains in the midst of the valleys: I will make the wilderness a pool of water, and the dry land springs of water.” KJV http://www.bible.com  (Read this scripture and more at http://prayerpivot.com)

We go through uncomfortable dry spells; we view ourselves as in a vast desert of only sand and dryness; we feel parched and evaporated of soul.  We just know we will never again gulp any so-needed drink.  There seems to be no scent of water over the horizon.

But God will open rivers and fountains.  He will bring pools and begin springs a’flowing.  Why does he speak of this and make a promise of moisture?  Because He knows we get into this condition in our lives of service.  He understands because He has been as we are when He, our Lord was here on earth.  Here on earth!  Yes, he was!  We can’t fully capture the essence of this, as humans.  But HE was HERE.

Because of his life here on Earth, He can understand.  Isaiah was written hundreds and hundreds of years before Christ came to Earth; but even then He understood us from THE beginning (His own beginning that had no beginning).  We can dry out in our lifestyle, in our spirit, in our physical being, and more.  Perhaps we feel feverish for lack of moisture.  The Lord understands – and kindly lets us know this by promising liquid refreshment for our bodies and lives, to cool and restore.  Refreshed we will be.  He holds out the garden hose of vitality, and we grab it, lean over and, yes, gulp.  We gulp life from our Lord.

Lord, may those of us who dry up in patches of life as we strive to save LIFE on earth, never forget that You hold the hose.  Help us to look forward to days of refreshment when the scent of water comes nearer and nearer, and then we rehydrate for you.

Topics:  Pray to seek the Water of Life for all who stand for LIFE in our world.
