Isaiah 4:2 - Made Glorious

Thought/Prayer:  Topics:  2 at end.

“In that day shall the branch of the LORD be beautiful and glorious, and the fruit of the earth shall be excellent and comely for them that are escaped of Israel.”  KJV  (Read this scripture and more at

I’ve learned that “The Branch of the Lord” is Jesus Christ.  As such, as we are told here, he will be beautiful and glorious.  Merriam-Webster Online defines “glorious” as deserving glory, illustrious or splendid, with an further version of that, “resplendent,” meaning a glowing or blazing splendor.

We can only imagine how beautiful He will be (or already is, on his throne at the right hand of God the Father).  (“If therefore ye have been raised with the Christ, seek the things [which are] above, where the Christ is, sitting at [the] right hand of God:. . . ” [Col. 3:1 – DARBY]).

And this Beautiful, beautiful Savior loves the little children.  They - and we - are made in His image (So God created man in his own image;. . . ” Gen. 1:27 KJV).  The teensiest newborn, perhaps just a pound of him, manifests this glorious look, whether perfectly formed by human standards, or not so perfect, but perfection by God’s standards.

We cannot let them die before their time to birth.  Lord, please help us restrain and stop this taking of a life-glorious in the unsurpassable beauty of Jesus.

•Topics:  Understanding of the beauty of human life by all – don’t hesitate to pray this.  We have a BIG God who can change hearts “in a heart-beat.”
