§ What is Pro-Life Unity?

To achieve Pro-Life Unity we will establish standards that we all agree upon, and efforts that we all regularly participate in. By working together we can challenge the culture of death and the apathy which is pervasive in our society.

Isaiah 54:11- 13 Thought/Prayer:  Creative, Colorful.  Topics:  2 at end.

O you afflicted, tossed with tempest, and not comforted, behold, I will lay your stones with fair colors, and lay your foundations with sapphires.
And I will make your windows of agates, and your gates of carbuncles, and all your borders of pleasant stones.
And all your children shall be taught of the LORD; and great shall be the peace of your children.
(AKJV)  (Read these scriptures and more at http://prayerpivot.com.)

We have been looking at the latter portion of this scripture in regard to teaching our children of the Lord.  But let’s now look at the first two verses.  Here God is speaking to Zion, Jerusalem, about future plans and glory.  He beautifully describes Jerusalem as being adorned with precious jewels of many fair colors.  The foundations of the city will be made of sapphire, wonderfully shiny blue stones.  Other beauty:  Windows of agates (often earth tones with patterns and stripes); Carbuncle gates (perhaps a red garnet); and pleasant stones for borders.  Our God loves color and variety!

We are not here to predict when this might happen.  But just let’s enjoy God’s creativity as applied to His city, Jerusalem.  In Revelation 21:2 we are told that there will be a New Jerusalem, coming down from the clouds, arrayed as a bride adorned for her husband.  The city is quite colorfully jeweled (some jewels not readily recognizable).  Revelation 21:18-21:  (AKJV) “And the building of the wall of it was of jasper: and the city was pure gold, like to clear glass. And the foundations of the wall of the city were garnished with all manner of precious stones. The first foundation was jasper; the second, sapphire; the third, a chalcedony; the fourth, an emerald; The fifth, sardonyx; the sixth, sardius; the seventh, chrysolyte; the eighth, beryl; the ninth, a topaz; the tenth, a chrysoprasus; the eleventh, a jacinth; the twelfth, an amethyst. And the twelve gates were twelve pearls: every several gate was of one pearl: and the street of the city was pure gold, as it were transparent glass.”

But don’t we see His hand of creativity in the beauty he puts all over planet Earth, from exquisite sunrises and sunsets to the bright stars in a black sky and mountain peaks and cresting waves?  And do we not see it in His individually-designed look of all persons, beginning, of course, with baby faces with laughing eyes of so many hues, and the beauty of a teenage daughter’s freshly washed, shiny auburn hair?  Yes, He puts the creativity of color into all of us.

And He has designed with creativity the look of every preborn baby in the womb.  And we all become so excited to think of what this new little person will look like.  We must allow them all to be birthed.  We are missing out on so much if we deny them the right to live.

As pro-LIFE persons, Lord, help us to lovingly share God’s amazing creation in a new human life – in each and every one.  And maybe this can help parents in their decision to bring their babies into the world . . . the thought that their children are designed by God, each one uniquely . . . and that we are given the privilege to see His handiwork every time we pick up from a crib a little person who gazes at us with a clear stare, from eyes hand-designed in color, by God.

Topics:  Pray for the ability to pass on to others the awe-inspiring creativity of God, especially in His design of each human being on Earth.
