§ What is Pro-Life Unity?

To achieve Pro-Life Unity we will establish standards that we all agree upon, and efforts that we all regularly participate in. By working together we can challenge the culture of death and the apathy which is pervasive in our society.

Isaiah 58:10 (Pt. 3)  Thought/Prayer:  Light Rising.  Topics:  2 at end.

“When thou shalt pour out thy soul to the hungry, and shalt satisfy the afflicted soul then shall thy light rise up in darkness, and thy darkness shall be as the noonday.”  DRB   (Read these scriptures and more at http://prayerpivot.com.)

Picture a totally black room, sans light.  No light at all there.  Someone is standing, unseen, in the center of the room.  Picture the person frightened, alone, the blank darkness overcoming them with horrifying dread.  Pure black darkness.

Something rises up.  Light.  Light is raised up – a candle.  Flame steady.  Rising.  Rising up and lighting . . . lighting up—- but not just the flame’s own space.  Lighting up the entire room.  Although small, this rising flame has power.  Power in the darkness.

It is no longer dark.

The candle’s small flame has power; it spreads; it penetrates; The shape of the one who was until now completely in the dark is emerging.

The darkness is overcome.  “The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness hasn’t overcome it” (John 1:5, WEB).  Jesus is the light.  John 1:4, “In him was life, and the life was the light of men” (WEB).

This is what we are to be to families in trial with either an unplanned baby; a family member who is disabled and requires overpowering care; the old uncle requiring relentless care while he wastes away; a friend with the demanding struggles of mental illness.  We are to be their light, their candle in the dark, reaching light into the black unknown corners of their lives.

We must shine.  We must shine Jesus.  He is the light shining in the blackness of the dark.  He, the Light of men, is the only true candle flame in the night.  We must let Him shine out of us, the enlightening candle rising up.

Topics:  Pray for a strong light to radiate from your life, the only true light, Jesus.
