§ What is Pro-Life Unity?

To achieve Pro-Life Unity we will establish standards that we all agree upon, and efforts that we all regularly participate in. By working together we can challenge the culture of death and the apathy which is pervasive in our society.

Isaiah 61:3 (Pt. 3)

Thought/Prayer:  Cherry Blossoms and Oaks.  Topics:  2 at end.

“To appoint unto them that mourn in Zion, to give unto them beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness; that they might be called trees of righteousness, the planting of the LORD, that he might be glorified.”

We’ve all heard the sentence, “Bloom Where You are Planted.”  I usually think of flowers when I hear someone make this remark.  And I believe it – we are to serve and help wherever we live or are performing activities.

Now, consider blooming as a tree.  We know many trees sport blooms especially in the spring, such as apples, cherries, redbuds and so many more.  This scripture tells us that we can actually become trees of righteousness.  Maybe we should picture ourselves as huge, solid trees such as oaks, but blooming God’s variety of petals in our lives.  Oak trees do not bloom as cherry trees do; but they are among the most stalwart trees on our planet, good for building innumerable objects we use in our lives.

Pray today that pro-life persons will view themselves as giant oaks being planted on life’s pathways tall and strong, sprouting not blossoms but leaves unto service.

Topics:  Pray for every chairman of boards of education in our nation, that in making plans for their school districts, LIFE will be under consideration.

Pray for Peter Shinn, that he may have clarity in the development of his ministries for LIFE.
