§ What is Pro-Life Unity?

To achieve Pro-Life Unity we will establish standards that we all agree upon, and efforts that we all regularly participate in. By working together we can challenge the culture of death and the apathy which is pervasive in our society.

James 4:17   Thought/Prayer:  What is Right To Do.  Topics:  2 at end.

“. . . If, however, a man knows what it is right to do and yet does not do it, he commits a sin.”  (WEY)  (Read this scripture and more at http://prayerpivot.com)

There have been thousands of lives saved over the past 43 years since the decision of Roe v. Wade, legalizing the right of women to have an abortion.  But why are we talking about lives saved here?  Millions and millions of created lives have been ended before they ever had a chance to see the light of Earth.

We’re talking about lives saved, here, because that it the important part in relating to the scripture above.

It is because men and women have not committed the sin mentioned above in James’ words.  Thousands of men and women have known what was right to do . . . and did it.  Thousands of men and women (and children also) have known it was right to stand against abortion; and many went to abortion sites and prayed and counseled - and saved lives through these activities.

We hate the atrocity of the millions killed in the womb, sometimes terribly painfully.  But we can also focus on the lives saved because believers - and even those who do not live by faith - were faithful to go and to make their statements for LIFE.  It has not been easy for some.  Some folks at those abortive clinics have been attacked; jailed; spit upon; gestured toward obscenely; and despised.  Threats and actions such as these have been endured through freezing cold and snow; scorching heat of day; horizontal wind-blustered rain.  But these warriors stood because they did know what to do and did it.

Should every pro-LIFE soul go and to this?  No.  It is not for everyone.  And God has many other tasks laid out ahead for LIFE.  Those who do go may have a certain conviction about it.  Those who do not go may soon be convicted.  Those who do not go may have deep convictions in other directions.

But Lord, we are so thankful for those who have known to do right and have done it, as you have directed.  We ask that all of us who stand for created life may recognize what you lay on our hearts as “right” – and do it.

Topics:  Pray for those who stand for life to recognize the right they are to do.  And pray that they will be willing to do it.
