§ What is Pro-Life Unity?

To achieve Pro-Life Unity we will establish standards that we all agree upon, and efforts that we all regularly participate in. By working together we can challenge the culture of death and the apathy which is pervasive in our society.

John 10:9 (Pt. 2)  Thought/Prayer:  “Shall Go In and Shall Go Out”.  Topics:  2 at end.

“I am the door: if any one enter in by me, he shall be saved, and shall go in and shall go out and shall find pasture.”  (DBT)  (Read this scripture and more at

When a person enters into salvation through the Door of Jesus Christ and His sacrifice on the cross for all persons, there is a freedom to going in and out and finding “pasture,” perhaps thought of as feeding and care.  Yes, “pasture” has to do with a sheep’s diet of grass in a pasture.  But in addition, when sheep are grazing a delicious pasture, there is also the aspect of the care of the shepherd.

The scripture says that Jesus’ sheep (us . . . He is our Great Shepherd) (Hebrews 13:20) are free to go in and out.  Now, one may ask, “What?  Sheep are allowed to come and go in the pasture?  What if they wander off”?  Well, it is, of course, up to the shepherd to determine the boundaries for his (or her) flock.  But within set boundaries, it would seem that ewes, rams and lambs are free to chomp grass wherever they please.

It is the same for us and the Lord Jesus, our Shepherd.  Once we have received Him as our Savior and Lord, we gain a great freedom.  2 Corinthians 3:17:  “Now the Lord is that Spirit: and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty” (AKJV).  Yes, we “shall go in and shall go out and shall find pasture.”  This is especially true when we are willing to stay within the confines of the fences the Lord provides us . . . or just stay close to Him with no opportunities to wander off.  His fences form an invisible perimeter around us.  As long as we know we are in His will, we will not venture too far and become caught in a craggy thorny area of life, bleating for His rescue.  The freedom in Him replaces a life of rule-keeping.  It’s from His Spirit, this freedom.

When we pray for LIFE situations for people who are facing tough decisions about life and its beginnings and ends on Earth, let us pray, Lord, that they may know You and experience the freedom that You allow us . . . but always within the boundaries you so carefully guard for us.  Many of these folks have gone beyond acceptable boundaries in life.  But as we pray, please pull them back to You; and if they do not know You, Lord, send someone to show them the pathway to You.

Thank You for the freedom You give us in Your Self, Lord.  Thank You for the Holy Spirit and His freedom with believers.

Topics:  Pray for those who need God’s freedom to be informed about it, through salvation in Jesus.
