§ What is Pro-Life Unity?

To achieve Pro-Life Unity we will establish standards that we all agree upon, and efforts that we all regularly participate in. By working together we can challenge the culture of death and the apathy which is pervasive in our society.

John 1:29   Thought/Prayer:  Lion and Lamb: He Is.  Topics:  2 at end.

“On the morrow he sees Jesus coming to him, and says, Behold the Lamb of God, who takes away the sin of the world.”  DARBY (Read this scripture and more at http://prayerpivot.com)

Revelation 5:5   “And one of the elders says to me, Do not weep. Behold, the lion which [is] of the tribe of Juda, the root of David, has overcome [so as] to open the book, and its seven seals.” DARBY (Read this scripture and more at http://prayerpivot.com)

Pretty amazing, isn’t it?  This Lion and the Lamb concept?  The lion and the lamb will lie down together (Isaiah 11:6).  When there is Christ’s peace on Earth, these two natural enemies will buddy up and become friendly to each other.  But how!?

Even more incredible may be the fact that Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ has to do with this – everything to do with this.  How amazing that He is the Lamb.  But He is also the Lion!  The lion of the tribe of Judah.

The sacrificial Lamb who willingly gave up His life for all mankind is also the Lion of Judah, as we may phrase it.

What do we see here?  Something incredible.  Yes, lions and the lambs will like each other.  Yes, peace will become tangible between these two enemies.  AND it’s all because of Jesus.  He is the key to the predator lion becoming docile and sleeping with a lamb, the hunted.  Jesus is the key to the lamb’s willingness to let a lion “up close.”  Jesus is the total key to this happening on Earth.

It’s because He is our Peace.  Paul, speaking of those who have Jesus Christ and those who formerly did not, says, “For he is our peace, who hath made both one, and hath broken down the middle wall of partition between us; . . . ” (Ephesians 2:14).

Jesus can be both Lion and Lamb because of the peace He brings.  Peace breaks down fear and enmity; peace brings abilities to get along, even with those formerly on another side of things in our lives.

As we serve as pro-life persons, we know that it is Jesus Christ who will eventually bring peace between mother and child, if only a young and frightened mother can see His help and find His peace.  The surprise baby in the womb can bring the mother to peace and a desire to bear this child until birth.  No matter all the reasons against bringing a child to term, Jesus can bring together the battle of the emotions and will, make it peaceful, and cause another child to be born in our world.

Lord, we thank you that You are the great Peacemaker, that you are both Lion and Lamb and that this combination so scary in our world can be both in You, Lord.  Thank you for being our Peace and helping us to deal with conflict and fear, bringing it to fruition with the birth of another child.

Topics:  Pray for a frightened young woman to realize the peace that Jesus can give her in her unexpected, secret pregnancy.
