John 3:6   Thought/Prayer:  Birth and Again, Birth.  Topics:  2 at end.

“That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.”

Jesus makes this statement right after Nicodemus questions him about being born again, wondering if a person can reenter his mother’s womb and be born a second time.  Jesus answers that there are two types of birth:  physical and spiritual.  We all have physical birth.  But what about the spiritual?

The spiritual birth comes through Jesus Christ, and isn’t it interesting, this connection between the types of births, and salvation?  It’s interesting especially to pro-lifers because of the emphasis God has made on birth, when considering either type.  We can see that God values birth even more than immensely.  He values it so much that he incorporated birth as a major portion of our access to salvation.

The birth of a baby, Jesus Christ, led to spiritual birth.  And we know that God records where we are born physically (Ps. 87:6).  We also know that he records our names in the Book of Life when we come to know Christ as our Savior (Rev. 20:12).  This is after we have been reborn spiritually.

And he loves every baby ever to live on Earth.  He understands about birth and babies.  He was born; He was a baby.

In light of all of this, can we not see that since God values birth so much, that getting in the way of that, stopping birth, horribly stopping birth, cannot be of God?  How could it be!  Abortion goes against all God has planned for babies.  As is often said, what if your husband, your neighbor, your Savior had not been allowed to breathe the air of Earth?  God goes for LIFE and all the wonders it brings.

Lord, help us to think upon Your baby boy, Jesus the Christ, often.  Perhaps help us to picture in our minds what he might had been like, had we known him as a baby boy and young kid.  Help us to then reaffirm our commitment to standing for LIFE, as you do, for babies and their lives, and for how one particular person, even a baby, both represented and brought eternal life.

Topics:  Pray for more dedication to saving babies on Earth.
