§ What is Pro-Life Unity?

To achieve Pro-Life Unity we will establish standards that we all agree upon, and efforts that we all regularly participate in. By working together we can challenge the culture of death and the apathy which is pervasive in our society.

Luke 2:1-14 (Pt. 5)  Thought/Prayer:  Good Will.  Topics:  2 at end.

“The Birth of Jesus
And it came to pass in those days, that there went out a decree from Caesar Augustus that all the world should be taxed. (And this taxing was first made when Cyrenius was governor of Syria.) And all went to be taxed, every one into his own city. And Joseph also went up from Galilee, out of the city of Nazareth, into Judaea, to the city of David, which is called Bethlehem; (because he was of the house and lineage of David:) To be taxed with Mary his espoused wife, being great with child. And so it was, that, while they were there, the days were accomplished that she should be delivered. And she brought forth her firstborn son, and wrapped him in swaddling clothes, and laid him in a manger; because there was no room for them in the inn.
The Shepherds and Angels
And there were in the same country shepherds abiding in the field, keeping watch over their flock by night. And, see, the angel of the Lord came on them, and the glory of the Lord shone round about them: and they were sore afraid. And the angel said to them, Fear not: for, behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people. For to you is born this day in the city of David a Savior, which is Christ the Lord. And this shall be a sign to you; You shall find the babe wrapped in swaddling clothes, lying in a manger. And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God, and saying,
Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, good will toward men.”  (AKJV)  (Read this scripture and more at http://prayerpivot.com)

Good will toward men.  This is what Christmas (and Christ) is all about.  Jesus Christ came to Earth as a man, yet wholly God, because of God’s good will toward mankind.  Jesus Christ is the One Who can go between mankind and God because of the sacrifice He made willingly on the cross of Golgotha.  He is the One through whom we sinful people on Earth have opportunity to go, to approach God.

Jesus Christ, the Babe in the manger, as a man, made the sacrifice of Himself in order that those who believe in Him and make Him their Savior might be seen as holy before God . . . not because we people are holy.  No!  We are not.  But Jesus Christ is holy.  He is God.  And when we are in Him through our faith, then we can stand upright before God because He intercedes for us in His perfection.

Another way of looking at this might be with the term grace.  Grace is unmerited favor from God.  Some might term it as His good will.  Could be.  Grace does not see flaws the flaws that stand between us and God:  the flaws of sin (missing God’s mark of perfection, going against His will for us).  And, generally, if we have good will toward someone, we do not focus on their negatives; we perhaps see them as positive in nature.

Here we have angels touting God’s good will.  Awesome.  And we are thankful for the heavenly message of God’s gift of good will.  Lord, help us to live our lives in thanksgiving for Your grace toward us, that good will that sent the Baby Jesus to us.  Help us to share this with those in difficult LIFE situations, life/death/and other concerns.  Help LIFE to be upheld as it was when You created it, out of Your good will toward men.

Topics:  Praise God for His good will toward mankind, including all of mankind’s babies in the womb.
