Mark 10:6   Thought/Prayer:  About Beginnings.  Topics:  2 at end.

“But from the beginning of the creation God made them male and female.”  (AKJV)  (Read this scripture and more at
It’s the beginning of another week, and what will I write?  Hopefully, something the Lord approves!  Yes, Lord, please write a piece through me.  Amen.

Admittedly, the way this is heading is rather “round-about.”  From the beginning of a new week we are going to go to the VERY beginning as described in the Bible . . . when He created the first people.  And, as God is specific in this scripture, we will be, too, as we talk about “beginnings.”  So, Lord, I ask that you bless these beginning thoughts at the beginning of a week.

I am taken in thought to the consideration of the beginnings of a new baby in a mother’s body.  So let’s look at this new beginning.

We usually think of a preborn person being in mother’s womb, which is accurate . . . but not at first.  At first, the beginnings of this new person reside in the fallopian tube where a single sperm from the father unites with the egg from the mother.  This new person is then called a zygote.

The zygote travels down the fallopian tube for a few days, dividing to form a ball of calls.  And now this new person is a blastocyst.  Hmmm - Could we have any more unusual words here?!

The blastocyst reaches the uterus (womb) and buries itself in the womb’s wall, sticking very tight.  Thus attached, this new person will receive nourishment from mom’s blood.  Could we say that the blastocyst is hanging on for dear life?  Yes!  Totally.

The womb has been preparing for its new resident to become attached.  We might say that even at conception, and directly thereafter, God has prepared a home for the new person:  the womb.

Well, the beginnings of which we speak here are the highest level of earthly creation by God.  We know that He created human beings “a little lower than the angels,” as told in Psalm 8:5.  And here we are looking at it, at the beginning of a week . . . all about beginnings.  Thank You, Lord, for how You have planned for all of this to happen.

Topics:  Praise God for Beginnings.  Praise Him especially for the plan He put in place to “begin” new human beings, one by one.
