§ What is Pro-Life Unity?

To achieve Pro-Life Unity we will establish standards that we all agree upon, and efforts that we all regularly participate in. By working together we can challenge the culture of death and the apathy which is pervasive in our society.

Mark 10:6(Pt. 3); Colossians 1:15-18. Thought/Prayer: 3 Beginnings.Topics:2@ end.

Mark 10:6 (Pt. 3)  “But from the beginning of the creation God made them male and female.”  (AKJV)  (Read this scripture and more at http://prayerpivot.com.)

Colossians 1:15-18
“The Supremacy of Christ
Who is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of every creature: For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him: And he is before all things, and by him all things consist.  And he is the head of the body, the church: who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead; that in all things he might have the preeminence.”  (AKJV)

In our consideration of “beginnings,” we see a bit more here in this passage from Colossians.  We see that God created all things – both by Him and for Him.  (He was before all things – so through His existence, came creation.)  In order for something to be created, there needs to be a Create-or.  He was already there . . .  the uncreated One.  Always there.  Never, ever not there.

The last half of the Colossians passage takes us to another beginning, that of the Lord’s church.  Christ is the head of the body (that being redeemed believers all over the globe) (see Ephesians 5:23).  In Revelation 1:5 we are told that He is the First-born from the dead and He is the ruler over all the earth’s kings.

So in these passages we have the beginning of creation; the beginning of the human race as male/female; the beginning of Christ’s church.  Church buildings exist to house the larger global church for worship and study.  But Christ heads up the global church.

As first-born from the dead, he rightfully heads up His church.  Without His resurrection, there is no church.  I Corinthians 15:13,14:  “But if there be no resurrection of the dead, then is Christ not risen: And if Christ be not risen, then is our preaching vain, and your faith is also vain.”

Thank you, Lord, for the various beginnings we have from You and through You.  From Your original eternal Presence, to the creation of Your church through Christ’s sacrifice, to the formation of the human baby:  Help us to praise You.  And help us to be faithful to pray for families who have an unpredicted child in someone’s womb, that these families will know You through Your church of believers; and that they will know the power it took to create the universe . . . and this very child being formed.  The power of You, God, the uncreated Who creates.

Topics:  Pray for God’s power to be known among those who might think of taking the life of a child in the womb.
