§ What is Pro-Life Unity?

To achieve Pro-Life Unity we will establish standards that we all agree upon, and efforts that we all regularly participate in. By working together we can challenge the culture of death and the apathy which is pervasive in our society.

Mark 4:29 (Pt. 2)  Thought/Prayer:  Ripened Fruit Harvested.  Topics:  2 at end.

“But when the fruit is produced, immediately he sends the sickle, for the harvest is come.”  DARBY http://www.bible.com  (Read this scripture and more at http://prayerpivot.com).

We are to be involved in the harvest of the Lord.  We are to help him bring in the sheaves of grain and rejoice over the fruit of the land.  The waves of grain in a field are real; they show off the beauty of wheat or milo maturing until the time to reap.

Perhaps we are to help in the Lord’s harvest of the fruit of the Spirit.  We can plant peace, water in goodness, and prune patience.  The list can go on.  But the important part is that we are steadfastly good farmers of His fruit.  Animal husbandry is the term for breeding and raising livestock.  Could we maybe say that the activity of farming the Lord’s fruit is “harvestry”?  Maybe.

When we cultivate His fruit in our lives, we develop patience with those who are not as on fire about issues as we are, such as abortion.  We have opportunity to develop self control when fellow believers see things with apparently different eyes than we have.  Faithfulness is cultivated when things don’t seem to go according to our timing, even though we know that God’s timing is not always the same as ours.

Lord, help us as we serve for pro-life causes to be willing to grow the fruit of which You want us to partake, and let us be ready to harvest it at just the perfect timing of ripening, whether it is picking red-ripe cherries of joy or combining kindness in a wheat field.  Help us to want to be great harvesters of the crops from the seed you plant in us.

Topics:  Pray for vision to let God develop in ourselves the fruit that will yield the most results in the huge battle between LIFE and abortion and euthanasia.
